It was a shame that Paul Hart left to run the Man City Academy but it is a bonus having my good friend Jose Riga in charge of the Charlton academy to help me.
Whilst I was at Millwall I dreamed that one day I would manage Charlton by far the best team in South East London (Do I get my family back now I said that)
I think the most spoken word was 'academy', certainly it loomed very large during the interview. I also expect we will sign some 'good' strikers, and at least one wide player. The interview was predictable but interesting none the less, certainly English won't be a problem for Bob (he even used the too much neglected word 'fortnight'). He tells us he is a stand on the touchline guy so his sartorial effort will be open to analysis, and whether he has Pardewesque tendencies.
byl mate, there might be a way but I don't know how to do it. I hope someone might be able to crowbar it into the open for everybody to see, mind you it isn't all that exciting, the proof of the pudding will remain the results on the pitch I reckon. Bob went on about the academy a lot, and how in Belgium he brought lots of young players through to the first division. Personally I hope his number one priority is winning games though.
