We have (or used to have) flats on court road, eltham. I remember the press questioning the posties in eltham about where Carlton cole lived during roastgate.
I'm no estate agent but none of those will be worth less than £200k unless in an extreme state of disrepair and, from what I know of the areas, not a lot more than £300k. Split the difference and call it £250k on average and you would be looking at a portfolio worth £3.25m!
I reckon, thinking about it, that guess is on the conservative side and even £4m for the lot is not unreasonable.
My cousin's lad sold his house on Swallowfield Rd last year for £530K.
Blimey. My aunt has lived in Swallowfield Road since the 70's. A lovely bay-windowed terrace, but that is a whole lot of money, for an ordinary back street with no off-street parking. I think i'll stop in my brick built 1900 3-bed detached near to Meadowhall, current valuation £115, 000. No choice really can't afford to live anywhere else Bought for £95, 000 8 years ago, so much for property boom!

He did have a loft conversion, think it would be £450k otherwise.
Be very interested to know which player lived in Berkeley Avenue (and when) as Ive lived in the next road over (Preston Drive) my entire life... Had a couple of friends who lived down that road when I was in Brampton Primary
Once upon Charlton Ath owned a number of Club houses that they rented out to players. In times of housing shortages they were an incentive to encourage players to move although Eamon Dunphy is typically scathing in "Only a Game?" about the "dump" he is offered when moving from Millwall to Charlton.
So do you now live in, or near, one of those houses?
And are there any estate agents out there who can tell how much the houses would be worth now.
Purchase price on right (yes young people I've not left off any zeros, houses once cost that much) though they weren't all bought at the same time. All were sold a long time ago as far as I know.
And where is Berkeley Avenue? That is the spelling I have
Several players including Jock Campbell and Tommy Brown lived in club houses in Plum Lane when I was a lad.
Don Townsend lived in a house in Donaldson Road.
Don Townsend lived in Ankerdine Crescent. I used to live at 114 Ankerdine but moved in late 1962. My parents bought their twin pram (I have twin sisters and I'm assuming the Townsend family had twins). Is Andy Townsend a twin?
