  • Oh come on, all Sheffield Wednesday are known for is fighting relegation battle after relegation battle.

Even when the got promoted from league one, they accidently forgot they were big fish and lost 5-1 to Stevenage
  • Weren't they supposed to get promoted last season? Someone came on this site last July telling us so.

Last season Bournemouth were 50/1 for the title
  • I would be dissapointing to finish below Sheff Wed only because I want to finish top. Couldn't give a shit about Weds otherwise, weird, fabricated rivalry based on one season where we were close to them in a League One.

  • Not the end of the world if the takeover doesn't happen though is it, okay the cash flow would be affected understandably but we're still in good hands and we're still signing players.

But are you still up for that tenner
Already said I would years ago, then you went quiet.

Took me a while skimming through pages 7-9 of the thread but here it is.

We finished higher despite flirting with relegation now where's my tenner? I know that's a lot of cash in one hit but if we have to work an instalment plan then so be it!

Anyone taking on £50m of debt for a club like us or Sheffield Wednesday has to be a bit touched. In the meantime RC Lens were relegated and are under tight regulation - you dodged a bullet. Rumours in L'equipe that our owner is interested in the club or perhaps some of their players. Every cloud and all that :)
  • I've not read this thread. Is it about the Sheffield ladies team?

  • Sheffield Wednesday ticket prices 2015/16.

    £52 for some games.

    FIFTY TWO FECKING POUNDS.

That's for Sheffield as well right?
  • 52 pounds?!?

Isn't that about how much a house costs in S6?
  • That's a months salary up there!

I think you get the use of an outside communal toilet as well.
  • Haven't Weds done a bundle on transfers this summer?
Surely favourites for the promised land?
  • I've never seen Sheffield called the promised land before.

No - it's a misprint. It should read "pumiced land" - built on ancient volcanic deposits.
  • Sheffield Wednesday only sign players whose name begins with M, have previously played for Coventry, can run a lot but have no end product and are tall.
  • Sheffield Wednesday have completed the signing of Lewis McGugan from Watford on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

  • Sheffield Wednesday have met the buy out clause for Christian Benteke.

A statement from the player read:
'I was on my way to Liverpool and heard the news that the MASSIVES were in for me. It is a dream come true but I have demanded Megson is put back in charge to get the best out of me'.

    (Sky sources).

  • Being Massive n all the Wendies players all played with their boot laces tied together! Pure class football club...
  • Got a good 1-1 draw away at York today. Looking promising for them this season.

Did well to get an 82nd minute equaliser and keep their unbeaten pre-season alive.
  • Their pre season is going better than ours ;). Lost to Genk and currently losing to STTV.
  • Stevenage 5-1 Wendies
    Walsall 2-1 Wendies
    Chesterfield 2-1 Wendies.

  • It's only pre season gowd sakes, get a grip fellas.
