Richard Cawley @RichCawleySLP Latest from Belgium is that Patrick Van Houdt - assistant coach at KV Mechelen - is on his way to #cafc to take up the same role.
Yep that's the attitude lets write off every player manager assistant manager before we've even seen what they have to offer . He might be very highly rated in Belgian , every coach has to start somewhere and he's been at he's last club for five years . Let's see what the new team can do first before we slag them off but I know I'm talking to a brick wall with most of you.
Do yourself a favour and ease up on the postings a bit. Yesterday you posted just under 70 times on the same subjects, effectively saying the same things. Considerably more than anyone else.
We get your stance and your views, you don't need to be so repetitive with it otherwise it is just going to pee others off. Take to Twitter if you need to post at a rapid rate all day
I f these appointments prove to be true, and note no confirmation on the Charlton website as of yet, then give these guys the benefit of the doubt. When Jose Riga was appointed many on said he was going to be a puppet and yes man to Roland, that he had no experience and would be a disaster and get us relegated. Well he turned out ok, and we played some of the best football we have seen for years even in defeat. So it could well turn out the same if we get new senior coach and assistant. Yes Jose will be unlucky if he does not get the job, but Roland owns the club and has his plans, which we should give a chance to. At least for now.

That's fine no need to be so condescending about though is there ! It was a busy news day and I spoke about plenty of things but no worries sir I won't post today ! But I take it that's what you want so the cliques views don't get argued .

Are you Acworth in disguise?
Just a thought - you talk of this clique, you seem a little bit full of yourself. If only there were an alternate forum on the internet with like minded souls.....

Is there any winning with you? You've made your point WE GET IT realise that people have different opinions to you and get on with it.
Sometimes, I think that the speed of communications doesn't help.
Yann897, I think is a passionate Charlton supporter which is excellent and is superfast with the communication. Yann has a very positive take on things, but needs to understand that it takes more evidence and other people may not be in the same place
For myself I am relatively very slow, although, I fairly regularly jump to respond, when a breathe is required. (My basic blackberry with crap internet browser / clunky- limited internet access helps with that). If something pisses you off at work then it is easy to fire off an email which you regret. Sometimes better to give it an hour if upset about something. Things can easily get escalated and out of hand when it is not needed to. I think that is often the case on forums and definitely on Twitter.
Good to be tolerant to a degree of what other people say (apart from when being told to go and support Man Utd / Chelsea- :-) )

I am bit annoyed at myself for even posting this, because, in general, I think that the less that people nark at each other, the better it will be for everyone (and, even, for the club), but I would just say one word in Yann897's defence.
From the point of view of people who are negative/cautious about the new regime, I can see that it could be too much to have the same thing said time and again. But equally, from the point of people who are positive/hopeful about the new regime, it is too much that basically the same thing is said about every bit of news (even if it is said by a group of different people).
I suspect that Yann897 does, in fact, speak for a lot of people, even if he simply has more time to post than most.
We may have lost the old manager and the new manager and even the potential manager is lost in the buffet car on a train to Ebbsfleet but at least we can welcome an assistant manager.
A real pro with a track record of finding latent talent in the lower English leagues and nurturing them to greatness. I have been an admirer of KV Michelin's youth set up for many years now.
PS: Is he a Belgian and/or a friend of Roland's with a compliant personality by any chance?

Would it matter ? You've made up your mind that he is already.

If he wants to post 170 times on the same thing what does it really matter I'm the scale of things
Unless his posts need moderating I think it's a bit harsh on the lad or laddette
Should change his/her name though and move the feck on
Great news at last...
