Makes sense when people was saying the new man already had a job in Belgium , ill be gutted if Riga don't come back in some way , maybe director of football ?
Looks like he was once a decent striker, especially during his three years at Roda JC with 39 goals in 93 appearances. Not sure about his coaching ability though. Riga has been managing/coaching teams since 1991 and is obviously much more experienced......
" the former striker has bounced back and restore its image side Waasland-Beveren. Bob Peeters, called to the rescue in November, has managed to maintain the waeslandien club."

Bob Peeters (40) is the new coach of FC Charlton, the English team in the hands of Roland Duchâtelet. Current coach Jose Riga should look for another job within the Duchâtelet empire.

Surprising news from South London: not José Riga, but Bob Peeters will coach next season Charlton FC. Confirm that well-placed sources. Riga, appointed until 11 March as coach of the second division, will likely return to his true love:. The youth Charlton, a club from 'The Championship', the equivalent of our second class, finished the season in eighteenth place, just above the relegation zone. This Riga succeeded in his aim: the club protect degradation. He did so by winning eight times and three times to play in 17 games. Equal And even though he was at no time carried on hands at Charlton, Riga never made it a secret that he has no head coach wanted to stay long term. Officially get he and his assistant Charles Fraeye end of this week clarity about their future: stay at Charlton or get another job at one of the clubs Duchâtelet. So it is the last option. Would like to know if he is well thought of though as a coach.
Maybe Riga will be director of football!
That article seems to suggest he will head up our youth.
I take it assistant manager ?
If it is him that gets the job then he should get full support from the fans. Nobody had heard of Riga and look what he done.
A bit gutted Jose never got it though
Riga maybe going standard , hopes it's our director though or some sort of youth coach .
Had a similar brief to Jose Riga?
He looks happy in this pic. Can someone translate the page?
