Yesterday's FA Cup Final programme included a feature entitled "Top 20 FA Cup Final Goals". The goals were selected from a total of 376, according to the article.
Chris Duffy's winner against Burnley was placed 7th, just behind Ricky Villa's memorable strike against Manchester City in 1981. The comment was as follows,
"Described as a "cannonball" by British Pathe commentary, Duffy's volley made it second-time lucky for Charlton, who had lost the previous Final 4-1. A tricky left-winger known more for his creativity than goals, the Scotsman settled matters six minutes from the end of extra-time."
Duffy's goal was the oldest included, followed by Jackie Milburn (1951) and Bill Perry (1953).
