Not sure if this has already been mentioned but very strange stats that people have gone out and got in terms of Life Expectancy / Obesity and Binge Drinking based on the club.
We are in the Championship for actual life expectancy but in the Premier League for Obesity and Binge Drinking, so we aren't high on obesity or binge drinking, but something is reducing the life expectancy.............!!
only on one index, we do better on the other two, or worse if you like a good binge drink. It's a load of Shiite really, all it shows is which club are based in a posh area and which are not, notice that Gillingham are bottom of the whole league in the obesity index, which is odd as most skag heads down there are pasty and skinny.
Given the complete mix of Charlton and Millwall demographic I just wonder how the distinction was made ? Not much I know but I don't like them being above us in anything ;0)

Of course! I have the occasional erratic heart beat. Been thoroughly checked out and there is nothing wrong. Conclusion; my football team!! Maybe I should have stated that up front and would have saved a load of tests!
As the OP says, they are very strange stats. In fact as far as football clubs go, they are absolutely useless, because the over-riding assumptions that all supporters are local and everybody supports their local team are fundamentally wrong. I was amazed that West Ham were ranked lowest in the country for binge drinking. Coming from Essex, I know a lot of Hammers fans and if there's one trait they all seem to share it's that they love a bloody good piss up. I thought about how this discrepancy might arise and it's quite simple really. The boroughs around West Ham; Newham, Tower Hamlets, Barking have massive asian populations. For a large proportion of the locals, drinking alcohol would be forbidden by their religion. For another large group, although not forbidden, binge drinking would not be a part of their culture. The next time you see a picture of the chicken run and its full of people wearing burkhas, it might be worth considering whether these stats have any validity. Until then (and probably after then), it's complete tosh.
The difference in Life Expectancy between Notts Forest and County is rather staggering.
I noticed this too. Forest is in a posh area (West Brigford) and County are in a deprived area (the Meadows) of Nottingham, but they're right beside each other (across the river), so there's something up with the way it's been calculated.
Take all this with a pinch of salt, a bit of fun, the guy does point out the flaws in his survey. Can see how clubs wih large ethnic communities in their local area would do 'well' when it comes to binge drinking...ie WHU and Brum have large numbers of Muslims near thier grounds, generally they arn't binge drinkers.

True but South Asian communities do suffer from very high levels of diabetes which, I'd have thought, should partially offset the binge drinking pitfalls.
I think you've all read it wrong. The table didn't say teams you support it said closest team, so for me for example it's gillingham. It makes more sense read like that as the above assumptions about Asian communities around west ham/ Birmingham etc. a Nottingham forest fan could live closer to county and that's the teams results that apply to them. Don't look at Charlton unless they are your closest team then see what you get.

Charlton are my closest team. Those stats give me another 18 and a bit years. Now I'm depressed.

Sod that. I'd rather die .
Why 89 clubs and not 92?
