  • Those goals he's scored recently will certainly help him find anew club!
  • I'd like to see him get another chance with us !!

Me too. Didn't get a fair crack at it at Championship level. Very underrated player who was crucial to our League One title winning season.
  • I did say he would shine at pompey!!
  • His level is league one. He never made the step up to the Championship IMO. He struggled in the games I saw him play. Suspect the fact that he is very one paced is part of the issue. Shame as he was a big part of the League One title winning side.

This post says it all in my opinion... He's 28 so not the oldest of players yet reckon League One is definitely his highest level

Would have been interesting had we been relegated as I'd have offered him one more year if so
  • My bruv reckons he runs like a farmer. I think he has a point.
  • The thing is, he knows where the back of the net is. He showed it in league 1 when Dale Stephens was injured. Andy Hughes came into the side which allowed him to get forward and he scored goals!!

He's shown it out on loan too.

He should have been given a go in this league. Unfortunately he was knocked back due to injury and we were doing just fine without him.

If i was a L1 manager, I would sigh him without a shadow of a doubt.

The only player who could stand with his feet together and still get nut-megged.

Great player for us in L1. Really thought he'd make the step up to championship, but I suppose the injury didn't help (seem to recall him having the bone in his big toe fused together?)

    Best of luck Danny...............
  • Under Powell every one struggled in the championship as never a settled team and always playing everyone out of postion
Mr Holland's many thanks and best of luck
