Honest, wholehearted player who gave his all for us. Decent bloke as well.
We acquired better in Morro and Taylor but that is no reason to belittle an honest pro like Miguel.
I wish him all the best.
Agree entirely Len. I've never forget that equaliser against Swindon when we were down to nine men.
I felt that he was a reasonable League 1 defender, who had two games where he was appalling Colchester and Millwall and cost us about 7 goals. His two home appearances against Swindon - scoring an equaliser in the last minute and taking a red in the play off semi final so that we could get to penalties, stand out for me.
So what was the problem at Hillsborough? They went on a pretty good run unbeaten and then it all fell apart. 2 draws and 6 defeats from last 8 is pretty awful. I wonder what the manager will be thinking over the summer. Just when it looked as though he had a settled squad with positive form it capitulates. As others have said, not our concern, but it will be interesting to see how the form goes into the new season. I'm sure OP will keep us posted with his thoughts, which are alright as far as i'm concerned. I personally find it interesting to hear from other fans watching in the same league.
I didn't rate him but that doesn't mean he wasn't a good player Filled a gap for us and moved on to weds Sounds like he enjoyed himself at Hillsborough so sent a msg out with no Hard feelings to the weds fans Good luck to the big mig
Miguel seems to have the best time of his career at every club he's at, must secretely love conceding goals and being booed, always has and always will be a 50p head, couldn't header a beach ball clear from the goal
I'll always remember him for scoring the late goal against Swindon to draw level @ 3-3 in the last minute with 9 men. Don't remember too many good defending moments.
2-2 @guinessaddick. You've really let yourself down there with your inadequate knowledge of Charlton Swindon fixtures;-) next you'll be telling me Jan Age Fjortoft's winner in the league cup tie at the Valley in 1994 came back off the post and hit Mike Salmon or Andy Petterson in the head and went in, but you can't remember who it was......
Thought Reda Johnson was one of your better players. What went wrong?
Injuries and Gray not wanting to keep him.
Reda Johnson is a big old lump with the turning circle of an oil tanker. Dangerous at set plays but never rated him at full back, wingers dream to face him as long as he never clogged you. Typical up and under route one type of player ideally suited to the Wendies league 1 style of play. Maybe Gray is now trying to build a team of ballers :-0

I just hope we're not drawn against either of you in the cups next season, you can have too much of a good thing...
Next season, we've already moved on and got rid of some old names at Hillsboro but it had to be done.
Llera, Jermain Johnson, Reda Johnson, Martin Taylor (awful signing from Watford) Gardner, and a few others all make way.
I very much doubt we'll be looking at the bottom three next season, lets see who we now bring in, 8 players gone so far.
