Until we can see who is leaving and who is coming in it is difficult to be able to predict next season. As last season testifies, a closing run can instill optimism, whilst the reality of lack or poor investment can quickly lead to dashed hopes and despondency.
However, the teams around us could lead to optimism, although I expect Wolves to be a strong force next season, I am not sure brentford or the play off contender will be too "hot" although Brentford will have more investment in the team and new stadium. Birmingham are unlikely to be able to find any more money behind the sofa and I think will continue to decline, probably losing some of their better players during the summer, Blackpool need new owners if they are going to invest, Ince has not pulled up any trees for Palace so his value eevn as an out of contract development fee will be even lower that initially expected.
I would not be surprised to see Fulham continue to spiral, even with the parachute money, their owner spent £200m for this relegation club, will he want to invest more? Norwich are another club that could well suffer in their adjustment to Championship football, cardiff may actually be amongst the contenders despite their shocking season.
If we invest well in management and players and not receive the support we had in January, it could be quite an interesting season. Its going to be an interesting summer and may even be a good next season.

The January 2015 transfer window will be the first in which clubs might be excluded under FFP. And this is where our connection to Liege and other the clubs may come in handy as we can borrow or sign players to cover gaps in the squad.
By the time the fixture list comes out we (and the bookies!) will have some perspective.
