ex charlton academy products!

Obviously the academy is having a good few years bringing out plenty of youth players! I was just wondering how many ex academy players are out there in the football league! Or playing abroad and how many no longer play professionally! There are the obvious ones like Scott Parker and wagstaff! But are players like Barry fuller, Tosan Popo, Kelly Youga and Yado Mambo still playing somewhere??

    The current crop is definatly the most successful then and I think next season will be strong aswell with Gomez Edwards grant and Holmes Dennis possibly coming through . Although Gomez is still to young to break through being a centre back .

    Nathan Ashton at Tilbury?

    James Walker is in Oz, I thought he would make it with us but never kicked on.

    Alistair John is somewhere in non-league footie.

    Stavrinou was highly touted but seems to have disappeared.

    Harry Pell is at AFC Wimbledon. Really thought he could do a job in League One but didn't get a chance.

    I was spotted by a Charlton scout at Blackheath who came down to watch Sheku and decided to bring me along to Sparrows Lane with him. It's a shame he threw it away. That is unfortunately spot on.

    Incedentally, I was in the same year as Abdigani Mohamoud (mentioned above) at Woolwich Poly. Unsure what he's up to nowadays.

    He is now at Cray Wanderers - just relegated from the Ryman Premier
