I confess, it was me. I wasn't there for the original game, when they re-arranged it for while I was in the country I got to see it and we won. I have a 100% record for midweek home games over the past three years.
Does that ultimately mean that the previous owners kept us up, through purposely ignoring the problems with the pitch in a grand master-plan to have a game called off due to poor conditions when we were losing?
I hope they stay up to, much prefer them to Millwall or Birmingham and i would feel bad about this game.
That being said, if any of their fan take a genuine hatred to us over it, they really are deluded, they still had 45 other games to save their season if they go down.
It turns out that, no, Lee Collins did not keep us up as we clearly done that ourselves.
But, in terms of the mathematics of points, Doncaster might say the big decision of stopping the game at 1-3 has cost them dearly. They are relegated and only needed 1 more.point. Went down on goal difference.
Feel a bit sorry for them but Dickov is a caant so they can fook off back to League 1
Whilst no Brum fan due to their neanderthal support, they have been playing with a team of kids this season and am happy for Randy who has been a class act all season. Would have been awful if that cock up sent them down
No. Lee Collins was right to stop the game. The rain was heavy and the pitch unplayable. The weather contributed to a couple of Doncaster goals. The stoppage favoured Charlton in this instance. In any case a team is relegated over what they have done or not done over a whole season. That specific result was not a turning point. 6 defeats out 7 and no victories since March 28 14 that why Donnie were relegated.
I do have some sympathy for them and preferred them to stay in the Champs. Doncaster need to be responsible for the performances on the pitch. Blaming others for poor performance will not help them get promoted next season.

I haven't heard then complain.
This is from the thread eariler.
RugbyAddick May 2 My dads mate at work is a Doncaster fan. They absolute hate us up there apparently due to that game!
If I had bothered to read the whole thread as well, I would have just stuck with Dabos, who said it better and more concisely than I did.
dabos May 2 Given it was correctly abandoned, they should be more worried about their performance in the rescheduled game and the 33 other games they haven't won this season. Those are the reasons they'll probably go down.
I don't think the ref had a choice to be honest, the pitch was unplayable, it would have been better all round if the game were called off before kick-off but as it was was ridiculous.
Put it into context hamer let in 3 goals in the first half when he was standing in a lake barely unable to move, in comparison 20 times worse than the other end of the pitch, so only 3 weren't bad, 2nd half we had the same advantage, we scored 1 very quickly and they were down to ten men we could have easily without trying much scored a dozen more as the pitch was getting worse and like hamer in the first half their goalie couldn't move, but the pitch was getting worse by the minute. We would have won based on this probably by quite a lot but it would have been a ridiculous result based around a ridiculous unusual playing surface.
In short the ref never kept us up or sent them down nor did the weather, the only result that counts is the replay, the other one was unrealistic and in exceptional freak conditions.
They should have given it a go like Brum did when they went 2-0 down. Did they even have a shot yesterday? Yes they were playing Leicester but they were on holiday and Donny may have snatched something if they were a bit more brave.
