So next Monday

You looking forward to visiting the Wembley of the North?

All jokes apart, depending on Tuesdays result this could be a big game for you, you've picked up some good results recently but noticed you seem to be struggle if you go behind.

Reckon it could be a decent game and I wish all that are travelling up a safe journey.

  • We always win on Tuesdays
    We always lose on Saturdays
We are undecided whether to turn up on Mondays

    Harsh

  • The Wembley (as it was in 1960) of the north has been a happy hunting ground of ours in recent times .. you are in decent form as well .. I'd be happy with a point .. BUT .. would LOVE a win
  • Harsh.

Aye, just an away fan trying to make conversation.

Sadly I fear revenge for the fifth round game, given our form and recent trips to Sheffield I expect our turn out to be very low. Hopefully you'll win beforehand and switch off for the rest of the season.

  • going but not looking forward to it. I just want to stay up cant stand all the pressure of a relegation battle.

What is parking like round near the ground?

I think we are safe now so should be on our summer holidays.

Not great to be honest, park on Claywheels Lane.

I'm here every day tbf :-(
  • I feel we will be up for this game just to prove a point, in the cup game we just didn't perform possibly because of all the hype of the qf tie with the blades so on that basis the players will want to avenge that defeat.

However, like last time we still have a crippling injury list especially at the back, so who knows.

Either way we are safe and are looking forward to challenging for a play off spot next season.

  • this is the only ground where I have managed to legally park right outside the away end and that was for the previous FA Cup match a few years ago - you weren't massive in any respect that day. As for this time I can't be bothered and will save my pennies and voice for Blackpool on the correct side of the Pennines.

Great advert of a supporter you are then, bank holiday Monday and you live what 30 miles away? but you're waiting for a game on your doorstep, that's why you get 300 fans coming up north..... even the Northern Addicks can't even be bothered.

Meanwhile we've sold out B'mouth on friday, you mentioned Massive? lol

It's irrelevant to this thread really, and don't you think it's slightly boring when you come out with the same line every time?

I post on here because I do, get over it pal, and think we've done this old chestnut far to many times, until I get banned because I'm not a Charlton fan and don't share the same opinions as you I'll keep on raking up my posts ;)

I was simply replying to someone who has a dig at us then says he's not travelling over the Snake Pass to watch his beloved Charlton.

Hope this helps you PL54 sir.

Tell me about it man! I'm just glad I'll be able to breath in some fresh air, all the smog from the burning coal up here is getting to me a little bit, I think the last time i stepped out of Sheffield was to buy a dog at an auction in Scunthorpe in 1984.

Cheers for the goodwill message though.

  • In the last 5 years we must have played more times at Hillsborough than anywhere but Uddersfield. Still looking forward to it though. We might even get something from the game.

You could always pray for rain & then leave the covers off of the pitch in the hope of a postponement until some of your "stars" return
