No Fight, Passion or Effort!

Absolutely disgraceful today!
Only player to come out of the match with any credit at all was Cousins.
The worst of the bunch were Poyet, Hamer, Morrison & Sordell.
On the train back to London Bridge now - What a waste of £80.

  • Couldn't agree more with that.
  • I agree but I did think jackson was the only one trying to win the ball back aswell as cousins .
  • Today was awful. So frustrating, Sordell today was as much use as a flamethrower in water.
  • There was some fight in the crowd today
  • Maybe a bit understandable with Poyet, as he is a Brighton fan.

    No excuse.
  • Conserving energy for Tuesday
  • Fighting in the bar at half time i hear as well.

    So i have heard.
  • To be honest, I am not bothered about today. It's Tuesday that means everything.
  • Don't think its a matter of questioning "passion" or "effort".

    Confidence is the issue.

    Fixed that for you ;0)
  • I was there today and you dont mind losing as much when we at least challenge and make a game of it, but no nothing. Not one shot on target never looked like scoring, never looked dangerous completely one sided.

Yes definitely Tuesday. Sounds bad but I wasn't expecting anything at Brighton today. We need Tuesday's three points, especially as the Spanners are only a point behind us now.... :/
  • And as for the fight.... Charlton v Charlton. They all unhappy in the size department it something?! Ridiculous!!!

Utter garbage performance. An insult to the 2,000 people who went there with hope and belief and yet again were rewarded with a garbage, inept, toothless display devoid of any fight and passion. All of the other clubs in this relegation battle are showing some passion and steel and fight for their fans and their clubs. We have 6 games left and we must win 4 of them!

Did we not show passion, steel and fight last Tuesday then? Or Leeds away, or Forest away? Bad day at the office today but get over it, we move on and go again Tuesday.

Agree, my whole family are all Brighton fans, and they even said that Charlton are possibly the worse team they have seen at the Amex.
  • Saw it on line, thought we lacked passion & organisation, defending was terrible. Seemed like Brighton strolled through the game.

Glad I didn't fork out for that rubbish, worried about staying up, Barnsley could be make or break.
  • Watched it online. First goal was vital, had we scored first we may have seen 20% more effort. As soon as we hit the bar, then they scored their offside goal seconds later, the players knew it wasn't our day. No point running yourself into the ground and risking injury if it's a hopeless cause, and it was, because the chances of us scoring 2/3 goals at Brighton was zero. At Forest and Leeds it was different because we didn't give away a silly goal and took the lead which gave us something to hang on to. With so many games coming up, 3 in the next 8 days, and a small squad, we have to be very clever how we manage the situation. Yesterday, I think it was a case of the players being sensible and realistic and I know that's no consolation for the fans who traveled to Brighton. Hopefully you'll be repaid on Tuesday.
