My youngest and a few of his mates are ballboys - the majority come from the academy and are all 100% charlton fans. we scored a goal from a quick thrown in a few months back and we credited my boy with an assist - all part and parcel of being the home side!!
Most of those ball boys live and breath Charlton and winding up the oppo's centre half is spot on. He got himself in such a state, with a different sort of ref could have quite possibly seen red. The steward on the other hand really didn't mean it and didn't deserve what he got. It was though very funny and I am still thinking back and chuckling to myself. Refs have been so awlful down here particularly in the last 3 games. Unsure why they are deciding not to book players when they should be. It seems to be a rule at the Valley that if you an oppo player you can go down like a sack of spuds and get free kicks, yet handball, kick players like poyet etc up in the air and not even get a booking. All this ref did in the last 10 mins was having a chat with Hamer, and our thrown takers pre-warning about possible time wasting, yet not watching the constant fouls by Yeovil players, and we hid did see a fouled he waved player on seconds after we had lost it straight after the foul and should have been brought back. Another yeovil player he was putting out 5 fouls he had done, didn't book him and then moments later the same player then caused another foul. I do wonder if some of these refs are taking bribes.. controversial I know but who would have thought it with "spot fixing"
I don't think they are cheats but just poor refs. There was a spell where we were playing football with real confidence and Yeovil couldn't live with us - what they did then was foul us persistently - now a ref needs to stop this sort of thing and when it is starting to get silly, as it was last night- he should get his book out, but they don't understand the game so don't.
Can someone explain in Spanish what happened for those who weren't there or missed the incident

Quite right Murdoch - we have a premier league quality ball boy set up and hopefully the team will be able to come up to their level in the next few years
