Have had a question from a friend who's asked me if 'Charlton were playing on 12 June 1954'

Now, I realise that is usually a date that is in the close season but I'm sure someone out there will be able to give me a definitive answer...

Anyone?

    Have now found out the reason for the question...

    It's my friend's parents 60th Wedding anniversary and his dad has always maintained that he was late for his wedding because he couldn't get a bus as Charlton were playing at home...A likely story
