iPhone 4S email help

Hi, when I click on the email icon on my phone it doesn't go into my gmail. It just lists various email providers. I click on gmail, put details in and it just says already registered. Any ideas how I get my email back ?

    Are you using the iPhone email app? Or the dedicated gmail app? I'd download the Gmail app from the app store if you're using the iPhone one.

    Just done latest upgrade which had not round to doing and seems to have sorted it.
