Come on Toronto FC, first Canadian side in the MLS making their debut tonight away to Chivas in Carson, California.
Exciting times for Canadian football. Gonna be great sticking it to the Yanks throughout the summer. They have a brand new 20,000 seat stadium & have sold out season tickets for this season.
Head coach - Mo Johnston & players Jim Brennan & Carl Robinson both experienced players with English league background.

Whatever happened to Toronto Blizzard? They were the 'soccer' team when I went to visit my godmother in Toronto back in the early 80s. Went to see them, but all I remember about it is getting showered with fireworks afterwards, as we were sitting too close to the display...
Enjoy MLS, but remember who your real team are!
*3,600kms door to door
A mere 2000kms from here.
But this is going to be sooo hard! Supporting Toronto for the next three years at least.
Come on Vancouver and Montreal - get MLS teams!
The caps have got a chance to win again this year and I'm hoping for a game against the Baltimore palace scum.

You might have warned me that they play a crappy song when entering that site. I hate 'glad all over'

Winnipeg. Too far for anything but television for any of them.
But maybe Winnipeg will get a USL team or a Canadian league team if soccer catches on in Canada.
Saw parts of the game last night. Oakster is right, they looked better in the first half and you could see that second goal coming wll ahead.
2 defeats in 2 & with Mo Johnston playing a decidedly dodgy 3-5-2 formation it's looking like an uphill struggle already
The latest Galactico to join the MLS
Seven goal in two years, wasn't it? Does Preston play 3-5-2? Doesn't matter Toronto doesn't either.
What is it with MLS and 3-5-2 anyway? I thought that was a more challenging formation than 4-4-2.
Carlos Marinello late of Middlesborough ran the show for Kansas, word is that Zidane is coming out of retirement to play for Chicago - gonna be interesting post the European season to see who else comes across.
I see Tony Caig is playing for the Vancouver Whitecaps, probably the only ex-Addick active in the pro leagues over here............
Daniele Dichio was sent off last weekend in his second game after a right old ding-dong with the oppo keeper
Each home game has been a 20k sell out with fantastic atmosphere, a reflection of the hugely multicultural nature of the City
Good fun following the boys as they make their way through their opening season - Mo Johnston has got them playing some decent football & word is that more players from the UK will be coming over in the summer
The dreaded JFH has been mentioned more than once :-(
