Saturday Footie watch

1519: GOAL Sheffield United 0-1 Newcastle
The Magpies score a first goal in 397 minutes through top scorer Obafemi Martins. A Damien Duff cross is headed down into Martins' path by James Milner and he does well to wrap a chunky thigh around the ball and power past Paddy Kenny.

  • 1518: Another chance for Arsenal another dreadful finish. This time the guilty man is Tomas Rosicky who spoons wide from an Alexander Hleb cross.

1511: Arsenal could have been four goals ahead by now as Emmanuel Adebayor wastes their latest chance after being fed by Freddie Ljungberg.

Boro retake the lead, god damn this, why'd they lwet watford get to 1 -1 !!

I feel like such a loser, sitting here with my PC and 2 laptops watching 3 different games.
  • Villa in trouble...

1524: GOAL Blackburn 1-0 Aston Villa
The deadlock is broken at Ewood against the run of play. Phillip Bardsley chops down Morten Gamst Pedersen in the area and Benni McCarthy scores from the spot.
  • Poxy Bolton, if I'm not around later, it's cos I've had a nervous breakdown.
  • Villa equalised
  • 1533: GOAL Wigan 1-0 Bolton
Wigan get their necks in front after a neat build-up. A nice flick from Caleb Folan and Paul Scharner centres for Emile Heskey to bundle in.
  • 1533: GOAL Blackburn 1-1 Aston Villa
Villa equalise when Phillip Bardsley makes amends for giving away a penalty when his cross finds Patrick Berger who adds the slightest touch to send the ball past Brad Friedel.
  • i feel sick
  • Bolton equalised...
  • 1544: Wigan 1-1 Bolton
It is all sqaure in Lancashire as Bolton finish off a good old-fashioned goalmouth scramble. The ball falls to El-Hadji Diouf at the backpost and he fires in a shot that Nicolas Anelka shins home.

This is funny really. Don't we won't them to stay in it - we don't want them to lose hope - they still have games against others around us. A draw for them would be good.

    They will still lose anyway.
  • sorry.... I meant 'don't we want'?
  • 1548: GOAL Arsenal 0-1 West Ham
There is still time for a goal at one of the late starters. Bobby Zamora latches onto a long ball from Lucas Neill and his outstretched leg manages to poke the ball over Jens Lehmann.
  • I need a 10mins rest during half time.

Stressfull saturday afternoon and we ain't even playin.
  • To be honest guys, I'd save your nervous energy for Monday night. Go off and do something else for the next hour, and then just see what the situation is at full time.
  • Absolutely. No need to get nervous. I personally only do so for our matches. I'm not happy about last night...I felt frustrated at the end. For me it was a game we needed to win, similar to Watford away

  • Sorry, but that is sad!

  • 1604: MISSED PENALTY There is action within a minute of the restart at Ewood Park. Ryan Nelson gives away a spot-kick when he handles in the area but Gareth Barry opts for power and big Brad Friedel stands tall and is able to push it away.

    lol gutted, i hate villa
  • 1606: GOAL Reading 1-1 Liverpool
Reading are back level through a stunning goal from Brynjar Gunnarsson. A Stephen Hunt ball over the top and the Icelandic full-back produces a delightful finish that gives Jose Reina no chance.
  • What do we want with the Reading game. 2 ways of looking at it:

    1. They win, feel contented and relax against us. They lose and are more motivated not to do it again
    2. They win, gain more confidence, and play a blinder. They lose and feel like they're on a losing run and could lose again.
  • To win they'll have to play well and hopefully will be all the more knackered for having done so, more importantly they have one days less rest than Charlton.
  • Sounds like it's all one way traffic at Arsenal...but they just can't score.
  • Wigan 1-2 Bolton

    Wigan loooooosing.

    Excellent.

    .
    But Villa took the lead.
  • 1629: GOAL Wigan 1-2 Bolton
Bolton are in front from a lovely goal by Andranik Teymourian.
  • Bolton 3 -1 up.
