You're all obsessed stop trying to get him back as manager something something the trust is bad rick everritt razil Henry Irving something something hoof ball.
Discussed SL players with the owners before they came in. Yann and Stephens were apparently not sold against his wishes, although he says the owners made the final decision... kinda changed his answer halfway through that one. Says it would've been ideal to keep two key components of the side but owners wanted to cash in rather than letting them leave for free in the summer.
CP: "I wasn't told [which players to play]".
Mark Bright asks "last season you finished 3 points off the play-offs yet this season you only won 1 game of the first 10. Why?" Chris Powell answers quick as a flash "because we let 4 strikers leave and didn't replace them"
too polite , i'd have carnted huh man off and said if you're serious about staying up you'd try and fight a bit more to keep your best players rather than wasting money on foreign chuff who aren't up to speed for the Championship
Agreed, felt like the gears were turning in his head. Could've destroyed the owners... We're just going to have to wait til his autobiography comes out after he wins the World Cup.
Will have to rewind and watch again, but while he said he picked the team he wanted to for the cup game, that's not the same as saying he wasn't told to pick a different one.
This is depressing if i'm honest. Feels like watching an ex I still have feelings over get with some other bloke... He's a gentleman and his happiness rubs off on others

Very true.
Says he didn't get to say goodbye to the fans but that he "probably will do" sometime in the future as that "usually happens with myself and Charlton". I love the guy.
He's gana end up managing a side, and eventually, will have a fixture taking his team to the valley, Which will sneak into the top ten "worst days of my life"
Following that, Roland will have a Belgian cigarette.
Came across as the true gent we all know he is. However time to move on and get behind our boys and ensure we stay up. Legends will always come and go. Good luck Chris
Really, why? You may mean it light-heartedly but i'm interested in why you would think that. He knows and represents the charlton spirit for many of us and some of us prefer to keep that spirit with us rather than move on from it. Did you never see him play? If you saw him play how did you feel when he played for England? What's to move on from?

Dodged the question a bit on the pressure on playing certain players.

Blushed and shook his head at "Sir Chris Powell".
