Thank you- a great noise and i'm sure you played your part in a second half come back!

We watched the match on Al-Jazzera, or whatever TV so don't know how it it come over on PP, but i could clearly hear VFR and APRAWA all the way through!

Respect!!

  • Yer a couple of VFRs came across well on the arabic TV. Heard quite a few Super Als also, well done to the fans who went.

Were there any problems with our fans like at the watford game or was everyone nice this time?

Came across loud and clear on Radio London. In fact a neutral could easily have assumed CAFC was the home team from the crowd noise on the wireless!
  • Totally lost my voice, had to sing stand up if you love charlton almost non stop in the 1st half to get the stewards f off.

    Great day, great fans

    BRING ON READING.
  • 02:03 REPORTING HOME WITH NO VOICE LEFT. WELL DONE CHARLTON, OUT THE BOTTOM THREE!
  • clocking in - good effort today from the lads travelling, ignoring the stewards and making a good noise

feel sorry for the poor sods who missed KO though, at least a few coaches late - shocking organisation - one driver got lost!
  • we have the slowest coaches in the world 7 hours to manchester (with stops) shockin. We had knobs on our coach 20 mins late at services to get back on coach. Also they were drinkin on coach.Great support great regard in first half and superb performance second half.
  • Fantastic support. From the half-way line CAFC were much louder than City especially in 2nd half.

Got home just after 12 having left at 8.12pm with Alex Wright Executive cars. Didn't bother to stop as road was clear unlike on way up when it was stop start all the way and we parked up at 5.10pm.

Good ground, good views, close to pitch shame about the football but everyone happy with a point and 17th.
  • for the first time ever, i paid for the ppv match instead of going down the pub so got the full effect of the match noise...the fans that went deserve a round of applause of their own...
  • They sell lager in "2 pinters" its awesome!

Got in at 1pm after arribing at Man City at 5.10. Cut it fine.
  • I was home by 11.30 or so.

Well done but our support in the upper tier was awful.

    strange, seemed ok to me
  • As Henry said earlier, you guys were great! "Stand up if you love Charlton" won out in the end, I thought the stewards seemed to be on a looser. Could'nt see the point of trying to make the Charlton fans sit when Man Citeh were standing on either side.
  • from what i could tell the upper tier started off well but faded in the second half, us in the lower made a lot of noise - but a great effort by all!
  • There was around 10 of us top right corner, seemed to be only us singing most of the time, fairplay to the lower tier for standing for the whole game.
  • being honest ,the noise level from us was very poor, better in the second half, were a quiet bunch these days sadly.
  • Yeah it seems that the Lower Tier was the place to be for Atmosphere, although i'm sure the view was much better in the upper.

Never heard so many 'stand up if you love charlton' , but we needed them beacause it gave us the excuse to stand up for practically the whole game.

At one time we were up & down just as much as Palace, but after a while it was non-stop standing which was good.

Could not believe a (women) coach driver could actually go 20 + miles out of Manchester (without realising) having missed the turn off. Got there with 5 minutes to go before KO, never had to down a pie and pint so quickly. Didn't get home until about quarter to 1,but it's got be worth it, seeing us out of the relegation zone.
  • just arrived back from manc. Cracking couple of days. First time out in manchester thought it's a great city.
  • A good day and a good result. Was standing/Sitting down in the lower tier, completely out sung 39000 mancs. Our coach driver and his trainie were crap. We were following another coach to sheffield before i told them to turn around. Why didnt all the coaches have an itinery and phone numbers of other coaches? Our coach wasn't the only one who got lost. I managed to point the coach driver in the right direction and we got to the ground with 10 minutes to spare. The 10 minute stop on the way home was also a joke. People had had no time for an evening meal unless they ate in the ground. Nice Citeh burgers in the ground i thought. Bring on Reading. How the F%*& did the hamsters pull that off yesterday. Although we did the same a few years back.
  • Stayed over on an Inspector Sands City Break Excursion (TM) by rail, am stunned to hear coach drivers got lost, it's hardly the most discreet ground in the country!

True, I was in the upper tier and found it a bit frustrating - too many flasks for much atmosphere to break out, although the noise improved as our play did. Good to hear it came across well on TV, mind.

Did anybody spot the City fan in his baseball cap, chewing like a cow, who stood up on his own eyeballing people towards the end? The spitting image of Terry Duckworth as well. Strange lot.
