I share LAs' view - No doubt more will be revealed at the appropriate time. There are just too many people behaving unprofessionally. When was the last time we had 3 articles in the national press within 8/9 days - The articles in The Mail were selective and unbalanced while snide and insulting in tone - Samuels & Collins are better writers than that.
Then we have Mr Varney a Chief Executive of another football club at the behest of another investment house, coming perilously close to divulging confidential employee information. Such actions are very much out of character.
For me to enunciate my speculative views on the motive and /or intent would be as inappropriate as some of the "pronouncements" of recent days. Maybe I just spent too many years around corporate politics but then again you do to recognize the signs of someone promoting a vested interest

Now this starts to make sense. And you are wise not to speculate on the motive and intent. Such a shame that the results on the pitch are being so inconvenient by not fitting in with the parasites and xenophobic running this negative propaganda! All I want is for us to stay in this division and for our new owner to have the opportunity to do what it said on the brochure - keep the best and replace the rest.
Seems like we are flavour of the month to get a pop, Francis, Varney, Sunday Supplement, The Late Show ....... just bore off!
you forgot the Daily Fail, Evening SubStandard and Stuart Pearce. You begin to wonder if it's being orchastrated by person or persons unknown.
Whom do you have in mind Large? And to what end?
Prague, I have no one in mind and have not thought to what end if this is being somehow orchestrated. However, as Grapevine says, so much negative press is unprecedented especially when the media as a whole couldn't give a toss normally about anything outside the PL. It just all sit un easily with me for some reason.

I am surprised that you are suprised. If CP had been sacked for bad results it would have been understandable. What most in football do not want to see is owners bullying managers into picking a team for obvious and understandable reasons and I will not insult you by explaining them.
This has nothing to do with the new coach. It has nothing to do with being a Charlton supporter. It has nothing to do with your views on CP.
It is quite simply wrong.
It stinks.
And this is why the press are all over the story. It is a wider issue than CAFC and I believe the issue has sullied our reputation.
It has left a nasty taste in my mouth and increased my respect of Chris Powell.
Perhaps Francis knows that the word shambles (as in The Shambles in York) comes from the Middle English word shamel meaning "a place where meat is butchered and sold." In which case he's not far wrong.

I think the various newspaper articles have been exaggerated, last night's team hardly suggested a yes man playing all RD's loan players? And while I'm not saying it's necessarily CP's fault, we are in a relegation scrap. If it had been Parky in the dugout, would people have been so supportive?
So when the RD fanclub aren't lecturing people about not always looking for conspiracies they are busy unearthing a monstrous conspiracy against their new hero?
thought he had a decent game at the valley for bournemouth ...he wasnt the worst right back ever to play for us ,unfortunate to be associated with a bad period we were going through at the time maybe hed be quite effective with us now with Lawrie right mid
Just picked up on some comments mid March. How ironic that some of those ridiculing the network critics or concerns are now putting forward a conspiracy theory of a campaign against RD.
Complete and utter nonsense in my opinion simply because people ITK have concerns and opinions that don't support your own. I am surprised that this line hasn't been taken to task before.
Things are looking better now we have had a few more points under our belt. Perhaps we can all cheer staying up next month and move on to being something like a normal football club once again and all largely pull together. I include myself in that comment.
Fair play to him - to play every single minute and be the highest 'assister' is some achievement at a club that has performed excellently this season.
I always thought there was a player there, just was with us at the wrong time. He seems very bitter about us which I suppose he is completely entitled to be.

He was always decent going forward and is a good crosser of the ball, which Yann is now benefiting from, but he would just get caught out of position defensively.
Him, McCormack, Green are apparently good players, but couldn't/can't deal with the pressure of playing for a 'bigger' club.
Brentford and Bournemouth both have lower attendances and less expectation than we do/did and like Wiggins said he found it difficult to adjust to but he's got there in the end
Good luck to the lad. Never thought he was as bad as some were saying, same with Greg Halford. Our fans do like to identify a scapegoat, Church being the latest. At least Lisbie is now getting the respect he deserves at Orient.
