7 Weeks to do it....

Its 7 weeks from now til the end of the season. 7 weeks that will determine the fate of the season.
7 weeks where we play 14 games. 7 weeks where we currently have it all in our own hands.
Everyone is saying we need 1) a Forward and 2) a right wide.
7 weeks loan wages is not a lot money-wise in comparison to the financial loss of relegation.
Surely a load deal involving 2 top (maybe Prem league) players who would lilely guarantee our status is a financial risk (well) worth taking for RD?
Somebody along the lines of Grant Holt,Darren Bent,Ben Marshall,Antonio,Woods from Leicester. Lets not ponce around with the likes of Becchio etc.
How much would they cost? 15 grand a week each? So, for 200k, we almost certainly guarantee Champs status.Thats less than what we got for the FA Cup run !

Seems a no-brainer to me, but doubt very much it will happen.

Sadly, even if the will were there (which I'm not entirely convinced about), I think that me might struggle to get anyone half decent.

Jose Riga says he wants to bring players in still. I wonder who identifies these players now CP is not there. You wouldn't think Jose Riga knows enough about the players in the English leagues to identify who was needed.

The pitch is not so awful now and with the sun out should improve, certainly grass is back growing again. Any Powell not playing rumours are now irrelevant. It just depends if there are any players out there going for a World Cup spot but not currently playing who need to play to give themselves a chance or anyone keen to move to London next yr and thinking they could come to us, keep us up and get a contract. Stranger things have happened but I don't expect RD to sanction the outlay in money unfortunately or

You would hope that bringing in a manager with a very limited knowledge of English football, would have been taken into account when appointing a new manager at this stage of the season. It obviously wasn't, which is why Dyer & Mathew are still involved. Riga has a very difficult task and IMO has not been able to pick the team, organise a game plan and assess the players in the limited time he has had before the last two fixtures. However, he must have recognised we need a CF who can finish off the chances we are creating.

I think we may do it, just a feeling. I hope I don't eat my words in 7 weeks but it's us or Millwall I think and I think we have slight advantage over them.
