The Academy ?

The rumours about Riga taking over the Academy are puzzling. It seems to me that Paul Hart and his team are doing an excellent job, although it was a blow to lose Nathan Jones. We have a couple of teams coming through at the moment, should we really make changes ? It appears to me that Roland is waiting to see what our situation is at the end of the season, probably a good idea.

    As someone posted on another thread, Roland likes nothing more than chopping and changing our strengths, so the Academy is probably next on his list for meddling...

    I think if that did happen I would seriously think about stopping my Valley Gold contribution.

    I've been in it since the beginning and like all of us aren't contributing with any serious expectations of winning. I also fully understand the need for us to sell at the right time for the Club. But I'm not in it to produce talent for our "father" club or to line the pockets of our owner.

    And appointing a RD "yes man" to head our Academy would only make that easier to do imo.

    Always room for improvment, I guess Roland knows best. He is in charge and if you are in charge it makes you the expert.
