Its not old, its one of RDs try it before you buy it ideas. For all those showing interest in the new crossbar tickets, this will be the seat you try. If you like it, it will be your new seat next season. Dont worry though as it can easilly be moved to your prefered choice of position in the NU

At least 30 years and in all likliehood much older. 1921 possibly but as one story is that parts of the old main stand were bought from Aldershot it could be even older.

We have four seats with all the bolts and bars plus the back rests (the long thin bar pictured).

The plan is to re-erect them, clean and preserve them and then make them a focal point of the museum.

But for that we need some money.

Can you get it carbon dated or perhaps have the paint analysed for lead content? ;-)

Excellent - where did they spring from?

Will sitting in them be included as part of normal admission to the museum? Or will they be surrounded by a velvet rope with a security guard only giving access to those that have bought a "hospitality package"? :-)

Donated by a VIP Patrick Malloy who rescued them at the Valley Clean up day.

He has now returned them by donating to the Museum.

If we can preserved them then yes you will be able to sit on them but a donation to the museum would make all the difference in making that possible.

The little plug for the museum I did before the VIP meeting has really turned up trumps.

Not only the seats but a £500 anonymous donation and an offer to pay towards framing the 1921 architects survey plan for the Valley.

Only problem is we're still £125 short on the costs as it quite big and needs to have art quality UV resistant glass to product the plans.

So anyone who's got a spare £125 out there please get in touch.
