Walked totally the wrong way from Hotel in Sheffield --maybe that was an omen... ,, managed to get redirected even though my 11 y o had his CAFC tracksuit top on ... -- ...
Was replacing a fence panel at mother in laws, stumbled backwards, Ralph Lauren sunnies fell off my head and I trod on them breaking beyond all repair.
Both my littluns and wife have got coughs and kept me awake all night.
On the plus side, my 3yo had his first haircut at 'Daddy's barbers' and when he handed over a tenner he said ' and a pound for yourself' as he had heard someone else say it earlier so that made me laugh and they have put his picture on their facebook page.
Head gasket went on my car last night - Smoke everywhere outside my house. Not a total surprise because it's always been unreliable. Bit like Charlton really.
As if losing wasn't bad enough plus getting subbed I was just getting on the coach when this little northern twat with glasses starts kissing the badge on his fekking blades shirt and pointing at me. I gave it back in bucket loads to him and his old man.
Dartford got beaten 1-0 on friday and deservedly so, and my spanish team Deportivo clocked up another loss on saturday evening so bugger football. On sunday, my sister rang to tell me my dad had been rushed to hospital after falling down the stairs, but. I can't fly back as I still have 'nt been paid this month Oh yeah, my mother in law was round on saturday night, which was enough to bugger the weekend on it's own. How I miss those rainy saturdays in january! :-(
Mixed weekend - Saturday night started badly as we went to the Indian that was recommended on here and it wasn't great, but after tht we went to the Shakespeare, then the Harlequin and finally the Leadmill, all of which were great. After Leadmill kicked out at 3am we went to the bar opposite Jury's Inn (Gossip, apparently a gay bar but there wasn't anyone else there) until about 5am.
Needless to say when we woke up a few hours later we were all worse for wear and the game didn't help matters. Had to stay in Sheffield until 5pm when our National Express coach left and didn't get home until about 10pm
Generally I made the wrong decisions (hindsight is a wonderful thing) about what to do this weekend and thereby missed all the great weather. Saturday was spent in the car going from one car sales place to another without finding the car we're after and Sunday was spent on a coach to and from Sheffield with a spell in the shady part of the stadium. Deep down I knew how that game would go, with us tantalisingly close to success in the FA cup and being on telly, they didn't let me down. Then I had the experience of Southeastern Sunday train service on my arrival at Dartford, which resulted in me getting a cab in the end, driven by a mad African who started the journey going the wrong way up a one way street, nearly reversing into a car, driving on the right for short hair raising spells, all with the exhaust hanging off. And don't order your takeaway curry from Indica, Bexleyheath!
My mom got tripped by a misplaced heavy iron stand on her way out of the supermarket yesterday evening. She fell to the ground and hurt her knee badly. The iron stand belonged to a market stall owner nearby and should have never been put in a doorway. Later the police came and took my mom and the owner to the police station. My dad rushed there after receiving my mom's call. They went to the hospital afterwards and mom had an X-ray exam. I waited anxiously at home alone for two hours. Thank God it turned out that the knee injury was not as serious as we thought.
I was originally going to watch the game with my parents but obviously they had no mood for it after such a bad accident. Mom went to bed early and I watched the game on the computer in my bedroom. Needless to say the game did nothing to lighten me up.
I think it will take at least two weeks for her to recover, not to mention if there'll be any sequelae. So overall, the worst weekend I've had for a long time...
Broke up with a fairly long term girlfriend a few hours before leaving for the weekend. Spunked couple hundred quid, didn't enjoy the game one bit once the booze wore off, and took me an age to get back. Other than that, wicked..
The football hurt but it's not that important. firstly one of our best friends 3yo has just been diagnosed with leukemia secondly my niece is in hospital has been for 5 days she's only 9. lastly my wife's cousin was murdered at the end of last week. awful week. The football doesnot matter that much today.
Ok, Charlton were awful, but to make others feel a tiny bit better about their weekend, what else went wrong for you?
I'll start.
After a long drive back I got home to find that our tortoise had shat on our living room carpet and then smeared it everywhere as he dragged himself around the room. It looked like someone had had a dirty protest in there.
Luckily for me my missus is used to cleaning up shit having lived with me for so long.
I was thinking of getting a tortoise Offie , i think you've put me off...
had a bad dream.... i dream't we were beaten 2 nil by the blades..... and then i was woken from my peaceful slumber by a dozen "northern birds" shouting and swearing at 4 am in the morning ......and it turns out it was only true !! .............northern birds are gobby

All in vain as well as I didn't even pull.

Small victories and all that.....
