  • The real test for Powell is how to get a response from that in the remaining games.

Hamer 6 Unlucky with the 2nd goal
Wilson 6 Prefer him to play RM
    Morrison 6 Generally sound
Wood 5 Not looking as solid as he did in his first few games
Wiggins 5 Does not look completely fit , loses a mark for losing his man for the first goal
Cousins 5 Not a RM as others have pointed out
Poyet 5 Has done well so far ,but I can't see him playing 2 games a week between now and the season's end
Jackson 6 Should have been sent off.Looked committed to the cause
Harriott 5 Loses a mark for the miss, other than that was one of our better players
Tudgay 5 Showed some good glimpses.Could be a big player for us during the run in.
Church 6 Thought he battled away, surprised he was subbed

Ajdarevic 6 He needs to start , he could be a big player for us and we need to utilise him effectively

  • Hamer: 6 - Had nothing to do apart from the goals.
Wilson: 6 - I thought he was solid and didn't do a lot wrong.
Morrison: 5 - He did OK first half, wasn't impressed second half. Poor positioning once again.
Wood: 4 - Poor game. His distribution is shocking! Was too high for the first goal and didn't close quick enough for the second.
Wiggins: 5 - Showed glimpses of quality, but he didn't look too up for it today.
Cousins: 4 - Good player, played out of position.
Poyet: 6.5 - He was our best player. Played that holding midfielder role well, just lack of moment and quality ahead of him.
Jackson: 5 - He didn't get on the ball anywhere near often enough for a centre midfielder.
Harriott: 5 - Looked quick and dangerous, but still lightweight and without a final ball.
Tudgay: 4 - He got thrown in a bit today - and it showed.
Church: 4 - Wll run about all day, but there's no quality there. No goal threat whatsoever.

Ajdarevic: 5 - Looked like he had a bit of quality.
  • Hamer 6 - unfortunate for two goals but kicking a little wayward
Wilson 6.5 - blades got much less joy down our right until Wilson subbed
Morrison 5 - looked comfortable enough until went three at back, then horrrifically lost
Wood 5 - brave, but at fault for first and perhaps second.
Wiggins 4 - really struggled to deal with their left winger and didn't get forward
Cousins 4 - lost most battles and was not positionally aware in the slightest
Poyet 6 - good passing but lacked any real creativity, perhaps not his job
Jackson 5.5 - perhaps concerned with protecting poyet. Clearances from defence always found a blades head in the middle of the park.
Harriott 4 - failed all too often to beat his man, and missed our best chance.
Tudgay 5.5 - challenged for headers but could not beat two good centre backs. Poor man's Kermorgant.
Church 5.5 - did what you expect him to do, put himself about and finish poorly

Ajdarevic 5.5 - small sign of spark, but nothing significant
  • Hamer - 6.5 Couldn't do anything about either goal
Wilson - 6, Shouldn't have gone off. Much rather see him RM
Morrison - 6.5, Probably our best player on the day
Wood - 4, Poor game and lack of pace showed
Wiggins - 5, His worst game for a long time. Non existent as an attacking threat.
Cousins - 5, Not his fault. I felt him at RM was a double issue, as he was ineffective on the right and we needed his legs in the middle.
Poyet - 5, Backwards and sideways. Didn't press the ball as much as he could've done
Jackson - 6, Gave more than most, and showed passion.
Harriott - 5.5, A couple of good runs, but largely ineffective.
Tudgay - 4, Not much movement, and not much impact, should've started on the right.
Church - 4, Poor, everything bounced off him. Outpaced several times by Sheffield United's massive Maguire.

Ajdarevic - 5.5, Showed some nice touches and obviously talented.

  • Hamer 4 had little to do but was worrying when he did, fortunate SheffU's '3rd' was flagged offside
Wilson 3 defensively as shaky as we've seen and his passing is still just dreadful
Morrison 4 little to do against lone striker for first half, awol 2nd half
Wood 3 worse than morrison and partly culpable for both goals
Wiggins 2 his worst game in a long time
Cousins 4 square peg in a round hole but also petulant immature and showed himself up
Poyet 6 mostly for the honesty of his effort, King Canute against charlton's tide of excrement
Jackson 4 so far off the pace it's beyond embarassing, one of our better players on the day
Harriott 2 for effort, never plays with his head up, can't pass, missed a sitter, one other powder puff shot
    Tudgay 2 completely anonymous
Church 4 ran about in familiar fashion but doesn't have the tools to unlock lumbering 3rd division CH's

Ajdarevic 1 bone idle show pony

Reza n/a contributed more in his cameo than the sum of about 9 of his colleagues
Green the fact he is even selected is a big middle finger to anyone who cares for the club

  • At game-Unfortunately

Hamer 6 Looked fairly comfortable. Not at fault for goals
Wilson 6,5 One of our better players. Couldn't understand why he was taken off. Needs to play RM
Morrison 5 Pretty good until Wilson subbed, then not surprisingly looked all over the place
Wood 4 Not one of his better games
Wiggins 5 Not as bad as many have said
Cousins 4 Did nothing. Out of postion. Not his fault
Poyet 4 Played far too deep, creating hole in midfield. Not his fault
Jackson 4 Tried, but didn't make much impact
Harriott 6.5 Apart from miss looked pacy and our biggest threat
Tudgay 4 Tried.Difficult game for someone new at the club
Church 4 Runs, Too lightweight. Not good enough. Reading fans warned us

Ajdarevic 5 Has skill, but looks incredibly slow. Need to get this guy fit
  • I was there unfortunately.

Hamer - 6. Neither goal was his fault but he was a lucky boy when a potential third was ruled out for offside. That was awful and he had switched off by that point.
Wilson - 7. Our best player. Still don't understand Powell taking him off. It ruined the shape of the team. Would like to see him in midfield asap.
Morrison - 6.5. Good first half and kept bringing the ball forward the right way. At fault for their second when they broke through.
Wood - 5. I blame him more than Wiggins for the first. That should have been a routine header and he cocked it up. League One at best. Bring back Leon Cort as soon as he is fit.
Wiggins 5. Worst I've seen him play. Looked slow.
Cousins 6.5 Movement was good in the first half but no imagination around him. He is our best midfielder when in the middle.
Poyet 6.5. Always looking for movement but doesn't get it. Wish he would run forward with the ball instead sometimes and stretch the opposition that way as well.
Jackson 5. Poor game and deserved his booking. No movement for Poyet when we were in possession which forced the sideways and backwards passing.
Harriott 6.5. Best player after Wilson but he should have hit the target with our only chance. At least he was trying to get the ball forward. Needs to be braver. Their defence looked petrified of him at the start so took him out. He looked reluctant to attack them after that. A dangerous player if used correctly.
    Tudgay 3. Useless.
Church 5. Works hard but will never be a goal scorer. He'll also never win high balls that get lumped up to him.

Ajdarevic 6. Gave the whole team a massive telling off after the second. Need more characters like him.
  • At the game in the upper teir

    Hamer - 6
    Wilson - 6
    Morrison - 6
    Wood - 4
    Wiggins - 6
Cousins - 4 - As others have said its not his fault, he is way out of position
    Poyet - 7
    Jackson - 6
Harriott - 5.5 - If he had scored, we would've won
    Tudgay - 5
    Church - 5

    Ajdarevic - 6

Honestly hard to mark as I hated watching our capitulation in the second half so much that I have expunged most of the game from my memory.

Hamer 6 did what he showed so urgancy liked that
    Wilson 5
Morrison 6.5 i though he looked like one of the players that WANTED it
    Wood 6 standerd
Wiggins 5 to me didnt look fully fit
Cousins 5 again did what he could mark could have been lower but wasnt his fault played out of position
Poyet 5 played ok not hid best game in a cafc shit but experiance is key
Jackson 8 very few players looked commited to the cause but jj did lucky not to get sent off mind
Harriott 4 was it him that missed the open goal??? again seen him play better
    Tudgay 5 he played???????
Church 6 didnt understand why he went off not his choice obv. but he did ok

  • Hamer - 6 Nothing he could do with either goal.
Wilson - 6.5 Our best player, why he was subbed. I have no idea.
Morrison - 6 Done his job, let down by his partner
Wood - 4 Is it me, or is it everytime a goal goes in. He is there or there abouts. Not impressed by him at all.
Wiggins - 4 Worst performance I have seen him play, barring the 20mins he was run ragged against Palace last season, before getting injured.
Cousins - 4 Why oh why, was he put right midfield. He is different gravy in the Centre, should be partnering Poyet for the rest of the season. AA/ Jackson in front ?
Poyet - 6 Can not fault him, did what was asked. Lack of movement in front of him.
Jackson - 5 The only one who showed passion.
Harriott - 5 Seemed to play with fear, couldnt beat his man, yet we know he can. Covered well a couple of times.
Tudgay - 5 Non existent, but hoping he gets more time as I believe he has something.
Church - 4 Loads of running, just doesnt have it. He is no Gary Nelson not even a poormans.

Ajdarevic - 6 Should have started no question. Didnt exactly set the game on fire though when he did come on.

Having taken a day to consider the facts, I have decided I was right yesterday on the way back!!! - we ere really really awful! and I fear for the rest of season, SCP needs to find some magic or those games in hand will mean very little.

    WAS AT THE GAME,.
  • Cousins 3 needs a rest -my opinion is he is not good enough and most Charlton Supporters look through rose tinted glasses. No ball skills.Played out of position which is right back for the youth team.

Tugday 3.5 looked in effective little movement

Wiggins 4.5 At fault for first goal. Seemed to have lost confidence.

Church 4 Offered little. ...never seen a striker who cannot strike a ball...

Harriet 6.5 Probably our best and most effective forward

Wilson 6.5 Best player.....Why taken off when he can go past players and others cant was a mystery

    The rest 6

SCP Too defensive and tactically naive
