We cocked up big time, we would've beat them today, or at least got them back to Hillsboro'
Strange premonition considering you were garbage against us, on your own patch, AND managed to lose.
Either way, we are shit.
I'm not lying when I say this but that was one of our worst performances in years, I just think all the hype got to them hence why it took us nearly 40 minutes to get going, sounds like the exact same thing happened to you today, I watched it and I thought it was a very nervous start by both sides, nothing in it really in the first half and I could see it ending 0-0 and a replay at the Valley, but that Harriot miss was a big moment in a game with few chances, you just didn't seem to raise it like you did against us.
Blimey, you seem to have take these lean years a bit harder than a lot of us then? If you need any more plastic bags just ask.....
Life's hard up north mate. Every day is a struggle :-(
I saw a lot more of Sheffield over the past couple of days than I have in the past. Life seems VERY hard up north. Have of the places I saw looked like they hadn't been used in decades. "Shit hole" describes it pretty succinctly.

Nothing wrong with Sheffield, all the students that come here want to stay on and live here after, speaks volumes imo, visiting a city for 5 minutes and casting an opinion is quite frankly shallow... then again, off it seems that sort of person anyway.
It's a sad day when you come to realise, "We are the worst of all London, the kings of f*** all, we hate the wendies, cause they are MASSIVE. The Nigel's have risen, our expectations fell, we are the Charlton the greatest at bottling".

You're better then the Daggers though, don't beat yourself up lol.

The Don Valley is nice, isn't it? The whole area has a lovely Dickensian charm, untouched by modernity - unless you count the shiny new police station and the comical "Centretainment" stuck in the middle of nowhere.
They're even knocking the stadium down. That whole area is pretty depressing.

City Centre seemed nice enough to me. Sat Nav lost the plot though and took us through some estate near Gleadless(?) That was a proper dump, though no worse then what we've got round here.

I like Sheffield and Yorkshire in general, pwoppa nice people piggy, everywhere has its nice and shit parts, some on here should try living in Woolwich and saying the same.

It's easy to pick an area that was the heart of the industrial empire in the 1950/60s though, and after all the steel industries shut so did all the houses that where there that the workers lived in, fell into years of decline through the 1980s, 'Sheffields East end' was always going to be a difficult place to redevelop after the hardship of this.
Don Valley stadium proved to be a white elephant but there is still Meadowhall/Sheffield Arena and the Centertainment, as for being in the middle of nowhere, it's 10 mins to the City centre! but certainly room for improvement though I agree.

Just to be clear, before the sensitive ones on here start getting upset and feeling the need to defend you, I was talking about me having seen areas of Sheffield I hadn't seen before on my numerous trips to the city and was describing them as a "shithole". And a proper shithole at that, with one or two modern buildings seemingly randomly dropped in the middle. All very odd.
And the Don Valley Stadium looked very sad.
We were going to take the kids to Magna, but didn't get time in the end.

When did you see the DVS? today, two months ago? as for not having time to visit Magna, hardlines it's a great place.
Like I say though, the east end had years of hardship with all the steelworks going.
I'm proud to be from Sheffield, it's a wonderful city and I love my fellow folk from here, it's a safe city compared to others too.
