I hope he is with us next season, hopefully Gus and his agent will help Chris sell him the benefits of another season or two at the Valley for his own development.

Maybe, but we can't be sure he wasn't offered a longer deal and chose not to sign it at the time. Others outside the first team have signed longer contracts, Pope, Holmes-Dennis, more recently Daniel and Munns, and from what Powell's said Poyet was one they saw potentially breaking through this season.
