My head says that Sheffield must be the favourites, it also says that CP will be obsessed with not losing, and playing Chuch up front. My heart says that we will need that bit of luck, and the sort of spirit that we have shown recently. My memory tells me to be ready for disappointment.
I don't want to see United allowed to build up a head of steam early on. No reason why we can't look to play like we did from the start at Wednesday; on the offensive, creating problems and stretching their defence. For our sake, I hope the referee is a strong character, as the crowd are sure to look to put him under pressure. Not withstanding the further fixture congestion, I'd take 1-1.
For some strange reason, I think we are destined for a Wembley trip this year. After so many years of being pants in the cup I think we are well overdue this one. Tight game again , but us to nick it 1-0. That's not to say I won't be surprised if we screw it up though !
People cannot seriously compare the Leicester game to this one.
Leicester are all but in the Premier League and have had millions of quid spent on their squad - Sheffield United are mid-table League One and are nearly as skint as us.
Sheffield United FC v Charlton Athletic Sunday 9 March (12.00) Referee Lee Mason Assistant Referees Jake Collin & Simon Bennett Fourth Official Neil Swarbrick
No prediction from me as always but what I do know is that we must be the 12th man on Sunday.....like never before.
No point going all that way, with a ridiculously early start just to sit quietly & clap politely when stirred ...we must make some seriously loud & positive noise from start to finish. Nothing less will do.
And PLEASE remember the older fans who can't stand for 90 minutes. We have one guy in our group who saw very little at Craven Cottage & the last visit to Selhurst & sincerely hope others will respect his right to see this game.
Unfortunately, the manner in which our Club is told to sell tickets( block by block) there is little, if any leeway to position the young guns at the back where they can leap around to their hearts' desire so we have to make the best of what we have. Pretty sure it will be a case of "sit in the seat allocated on your ticket" but, stewards permitting , there might be some opportunity for swapping once we're in the stadium...but not at 1 minute to noon ! Suggest you take your seats a tad earlier than usual.
Whatever the outcome, let's make sure that EVERY Addick present enjoys the game & makes it a day to remember for all the right reasons!
Great post Fanny, it might be worth adding a note about the kids going as well, we have a 9 year old in our party and if he cannot see he will have to stand on the seat. Might be worth trying to get some of the little ones down to the front as well.

Jacko to either win it or equalize at the death. Only taken my 8 year old to 2 away games, Watford last year and Ipswich this one. Safe to say Jackson is hero worshipped in our house.

For the 3rd consecutive FA Cup game Charlton travel to Yorkshire...
And Churchy scores the winner in front of the Charlton supporters!

And so they should be.
I'd be playing Tudders if I was CP, he will be buzzing at the chance to play against them, if he starts I'll be sticking a 20 spot on him.
