Confident we will stay up

90%

Look at that league table we have a full 3 games in hand and it seems like Millwall can't pick up a box let alone a point. Holloway has not improved them at all which is much against what people thought he would do.

As long as we don't lose away at Millwall on the 15th and we win at least one of our games in hand (Barnsley at home) , also perhaps loan in a forward with a proven goal scoring record...Then yes, I THINK we will safely see ourselves in the Championship next season.

We do have a minimum of 9 games in April which might f**k us abit but we just need to write today off as quickly as we can.

The fact that Kermorgant got a hatrick today will hopefully just piss us off our forwards more to try a little but harder.

I bet Polish Pete is clenching his fists.

  • I am confident that we will be in the Champ next season

I am confident I will be a blubbering, shaking, gibbering mess come the beginning of May.

  • Of course we will stay. Not much damage done today with other results going our way and that was always going to be our hardest game of the run in.
  • Yep we will stay up IMO, think we will finish 19th above Barnsley, Yeovil, Blackpool, Millwall and Doncaster.
  • I can just see the game v Blackpool at the end of the season being so important, could be another 5K plus Charlton fans tup north.
  • Good day for us. Leicester away now out of the picture and nobody took advantage.
  • I think we'll stay up.
  • We will just stay up.

Agree. This is what concerns me also.

Today, Morro was subbed injured by the 20th minute, Wiggy and Churchy reported carrying knocks.

Players need time to recover from strains and knocks - this is where depth of squad of sufficient quality ready to make an impact will be a critical factor.

And after next week we must play midweek each and every week until the end of the season.

  • Have posted all games to come for all the 6 teams involved on another thread.

Blackpool looked like a team badly lacking confidence (well you have to be for us to score 4!)

I cannot believe they aren't in the bottom 3 despite not winningg in 16.

We've got Doncaster away and Barnsley home next - I'd be confident of winning the latter but we haven't won away for 4 months.

(Also got Millwall away just before Easter too - We'll lost that as its Holloway - sorry)

Hopefully the FA Cup won't distract you too much...

  • Will we get 5k allocation at bloomfield road?!

Not to mention half our fans think one of our keeps is shit and the other half think the other keeper is shit

Reckon we will stay up... just.
  • Can't say I'm confident.

Think it will go down to the wire at Blackpool.

We badly need some more bodies in but fear that won't happen.

Whatever I think this team will fight till the end.

Yeah I think we need players in too. I actually think Reza would come good if we could get some wingers and a cm who could create for him. But he's not a 1 up top kind of guy.
  • Defo staying up. We're also gonna win the cup. Sordell will score at least one more goal.

    2 out of three?
  • 23 more points. Then I'm confident
  • too early to say at the moment but the Millwall game in 2 weeks time is a biggun.........not lose & we will only have ourselves to blame if we don't stay up as we have our main rivals still to come to the Valley.

our main problem is that we don't create very much & hence don't score too often. CP has got to find a better front pairing & to forget about playing Church up front on his own. I'd give Reza & Pete the Pole a run out for 3 or 4 games, starting with the Cup game next week (nothing to lose so ideal game to try out a new pairing) with Harriott, AA, Cousins & Poyet in the middle (although Harriott may have to play on the right) or play Nego as right back and play Wilson wide right.
  • We don't have wide players who create chances and our strikers aren't good enough to create their own chances. Good news is the teams around us are just as bad.
  • I'm confident that we can stay up, but not entirely confident that we will.
  • We were very ordinary today, but looking at the other games, the rest of our rivals were just as bad. There will be some massive 6 pointers between us in the next month...
  • Totally, utterly and unshakeably certain that we will stay up.

  • Think we're going down , the teams behind us are slowly but surely closing in on us
Our goal diff is better than those below us partially because we've played less games!
The lack of depth in our squad which will be further exposed with this fixture pile up is another negative
Of all our players Jacko and AA are the only ones who appear to be able to create but they prolly are our two unfittest players
This team currently will not have enough guile to stay up imo
