I live in Sussex-a knock on the door yesterday afternoon revealed a woman I had not seen before.
She asked me if I was a Charlton supporter-I have badge on back window-I said I was. Are you a season ticket holder? I am I responded. Are you going to Bramall Lane? No I'm not as I am working
Can I borrow your CON number to buy 4 tickets as we are all Addicks who live round the corner-of course she could.
2 Parents and 2 kids sorted now, very happy and I think I have new friends for life.......

Reminds of the time a week before the '98 play off final. I was returning from Ireland via Knock airport having been to my cousin's funeral. I left my mum at the check in desk, while I returned the hire car. When I returned she was talking to a man waiting to book it, she informed me when I got back that he was a Charlton fan and was going over to try to get tickets. The only problem was that he needed some ticket stubs to get some. With that I opened my wallet and took out two ticket stubs for both the home and away play off games against Ipswich and gave them to him. Should have seen his face!

No, he spent a couple of weeks over, got a card from him thanking me, I think his name was George.
