The internet radio programme last night...

I don't know who else listened in and I only caught the last 20-30 minutes but one thing struck me afterwards - there was no mention of the charity match on the 22nd.

Was this because I missed an earlier announcement, did Brian Cole/Glynne Jones/Dan Bream simply forget it, or was it "forgotten" because the initiative belongs to a different web-site?

I can appreciate Addickted/the radio station not wanting to overly-publicise a rival site, but surely the justgiving website could be mentioned in some way? It's for a good cause and all that...

    It wasn't mentioned and i would be supprised if Brian/Glynne/Dan had forgotten it.

    I would think they are saving it up for a big "special" nearer the time and i'd also be suprised if the association with Addickted would stop them publising the event.

    Maybe Brian would like to comment?

    Dan here - this was certainly not overlooked on purpose.

    What with all the emails coming in for Ben and trying to get them all read out and answered, etc it didn't come about during the live show.

    I will let Brian know and we will get an advert put out for you next Sunday and subsequent shows leading up to the event. Could someone do me a favour and email in the details, just so we have everything correct? - studio[at]charltonplus.com

    This applies to anything you may want to promote, whether it be on the radio or even as a news story on the Addickted/Charlton Plus news section - we are more than happy to promote any other site in the community and would welcome anyone sending in emails or phoning in live or during the week.

    No problem plugging the game chaps. I have even offered to help in any way I can on the day. A full plug will be given from now to the big match and it would be good to maybe get some of the people involved on the show both pre and post match to tell us all about the day. Charlton plus is independant of any website other than Dan kindly hosting our site on his addickted pages. Dan's also has involvment as a presenter on the show.
    So as Dan said, drop us a line with all the details of the day and we will get a regular ad sorted and plug it for all it's worth. Might even get Dan to do the Voiceover to show he's not bitter lol

    It's mentioned every week on 103.7 Sport on Sunday, (now available on-line at www.tgrsound.co.uk)

    Err, except this weekend because of Easter!!!!

    Although I will of course mention it whilst doing the special Easter Extravaganza show 12.00 till 3.00pm. :-)

    Podcast is also available to download and last Sundays show is on the charltonplus.com website right now.

    We are definitely on this Sunday from 8pm reviewing the Man City game and previewing Reading.

    bc, maybe we could do a link from my hospital bed after the match, just the normal questions i:e was it a major heart attack? that sort of thing : )
