Sheffield tap that is joined to the station is great. Dont head to the ground early as there are no pubs near by. Stay in the city centre. Sadly cant make it.
We will be in The New Barrack Tavern. That's where the charlton flag will be hanging outside. Exactly the same as when we played Leeds and took over there pub.

Not sure Kev the owner will appreciate that as he's an Owl! A lot of Wendies drink in here, but it is a mix of fans on matchdays. Good beer garden at the back if it's dry. You can park round the back if you're not drinking of course
I'll be dropping in here with my daughter as we did for the last Hillsborough visit in December 12'. Hoping to see a few other lifers in here too.

Of course it won't happen but posting it makes him feel better.

Sounds like a fair swap , as long as the pub was the Woolwich infant.
A guide to Sheffield pubs:
West Street - if you want big pub than shows sport on TV and can accommodate large groups.
Kelham Island - if you want real ale.
Sheffield Tap / Devonshire Cat / Red Deer - if you want real ale and too stay central.
Dog and Partridge - if you want a pint of Courage Directors.
The Howard - if you normally drink at the Met police bar and fancy having a pint in the company of South Yorkshire police.

Isn't it meant to be an Irish pub but has RAF pictures on the walls.
The Guinness is good in there.
Besides, coming up to Sheffield and drinking Courage would just be wrong, when there's so much good ale produced in the area now :-)
