Racing Post every Monday has a "5 Things We Learned From The Weekend". These are todays:
1. Tottenham and Everton are probably playing for fifth
2. Arsenal need Ozil to show up in big matches
3. Solskjaer has a massive job on his hands
4. West Ham's survival prospects don't depend on Carroll
5. Diego Poyet has the potential to play in the Premier League
Massive compliment to the lad. However, the journo describes him as a potential "fine top-flight "Makele" in five years which, notwithstanding the fact the former Chelsea player was best in the world at doing that job, probably unjustly limits his capabilities.

If I recall correctly, he's been with us almost from pretty much day one - should we not get some financials later on whenever he signs somewhere?
Interesting thought here but if by some quirk of fate his Dad should end up as our Manager (and some folk have been suggesting just that in some of the threads related to that topic) would that give an impetus to him moving on somewhere or would he stick it out here if RD didn't want to realise his asset? Would make match selection challenging if both Poyets were at CAFC!
1. He has only made a few 1st team appearances for our club.
2. He played really well against Birmingham. A cut above the rest of our team.
3. Our Acadmy, in my opinion, is a goldmine. Solly, cousins, poyet. Paul Hart is key.
4. I think if he is consistently good, we should not accept anything less then 5 million at the end of the season.
5. If he makes the right choices at the right time he could be playing top flight football for a top 5 team.
6. He might just be happy playing for Charlton, learning his trade, which I'm sure minus a league position, he probably is happy enough just to be given the chance to show himself off.
I saw him in the youth cup game v Chelsea last year, thought he looked better than Muldoon and Gerard, but Palmer and Holmes-Dennis were the stand out players.
Didn't expect to see him come through as early as this season, perhaps next season at the same age that Cousins did.
The concern for me playing him with Cousins isn't their age but the lack of goals and assists they'd get between them. Perhaps a bit like Racon and Semedo, decent players for the level we're at but both naturally sit back.
With a 4 man midfield I'd probably play one of them with Ajdarevic in the middle. It'll be interesting to see what formation we play Saturday. Also good chance for Powell to see how we get on without Jackson.
Looks like we have ourselves a janazai...
That's not me carried away he's only played a couple of first team games!
watched the stream of the southampton fa youth cup game and he looked like, along with Holmes-Dennis and Edwards that they could play in any position on the pitch and still look absolutely quality and very assured.
I don't think the club ever confirmed the length of his pro deal, probably expires this season or next. Either way deserves a new deal in line with Cousins, Harriott etc.
