We all knew it was a short term appointment due to his age, but after a decent loan spell last season I really thought we'd get a decent season out of him. Pity..............

Exactly, very strange to sign him up on a perm and not use him, especially considering our financial status.
He basically performed poorly, first game of the season, together with Andy Hughes & lost his place to the younger Jordan Cousins and there's no way back.
He's currently carrying a knock, but will likely go on loan to the end of the season, when his contract expires.
He is injured, but was played out of position as a holding midfielder which he isn't, so not surprising he didn't perform as with many early season, until JC came in.

Being an Essex lad, Southend are favourites.
I believe he has just moved in to a house in Upminster, so Southend, Orient or Daggers, I would guess.
I think Gower would have played more if Jordan Cousins hadn't stepped up as well as he did in the first team. That probably came as a bit of a pleasant surprise to everyone.
Suspect CP didn't expect either of Gower doing so badly or Cousins doing so well. Should be paid off if we can't get him out on loan. Waste of a wage at the moment.
