Personally, I thought Thomas was our main threat and seems to be playing with a lot of confidence at the moment. Often faced with two or three in front of him he made something happen. A little spark in a largely forgetable game?

  • LOL

The News of World had a go at Carson, saying "his kicking often lets him down".

Admittedly I had a few jars before the game, but I don't remember him kicking much....
  • the times gives romm a zero this morning...probably a mistype...
  • i think carson kicked it directly off a couple of times
  • My only critism with Thomas was that he tried to beat the defender (and did) too many times and failed to put in a decent cross.
  • Passed caring what the press say about Charlton now, they have bad mouthed us pretty much all season. We got the 3 Points who cares what the reporters say. I had loads of people at my Vets games yesterday saying how we were lucky & it was not a pen, my response was that the game finished 1-0 & we got 3 points end of conversation.
  • we looked lacklustre but always edged it for me.. Wigan could manage one weak attempt on target and two? blasted over the bar from close range, they never looked like they could win it. Admittedly we never looked like scoring either really.
  • I think we were out muscled by a strong, well organised team.

We looked both rusty (many short passes going astray) and tense...just like the crowd....

WE never looked like scoring, and hey how many games have we ended up losing because of a reffing descision.

Take the 3 points, as Ketman says, that's all that matters....

Though I gotta say this was the first game I've seen in ages SOBER.....it's not nice and I assure you it won't be happening again....

I was the only one chanting EASY EASY as I left the East Stand...
