  • Tube strike
  • its walkable from Cannon Street
  • It's my wife's birthday that day - can you change it?
  • Shouldnt you put the venue in your article? Or have i missed it?
  • Thanks for the heads up, razil but why in central London ?

Surely this will only attract those who work in the area & exclude ( by virtue of travel costs etc) the many Trust supporters who live/work in the SE/Kent/Sussex.

Excellent news. I'll be there. You can walk it from London Bridge as well.

There's a link in the article, with a map for those that don't know where The Counting House, Cornhill is. See below.

  • So its a City Addicks meeting ?

Lets hope Seriously Red doesn't get as drunk as he did as the last one at the Counting House :-)

I would imagine the Counting House, at 6.5 miles, is closer to the Valley than all of those places.

It's not a city Addicks meeting, but it is a meeting of Addicks in the City !

OK when would be convenient? Why not treat her and bring her along..?

Will add venue, in article more clearly.

We do try and please, and had our AGM, SGM locally and on weeknight/matchday, this doesn't seem to have affected turnout much. We also wanted an independent venue, and one that has proved successful in the past (for City Addicks, which hasn't met for some time). We have been and will continue to take questions on email that we will try to have addressed. Plus RM will be at Bromley later in the season. Even bearing that in mind we are open to comments for the future and will take that on board - and perhaps a question for a future member survey (don't think we've covered that in the past).

  • Just round the corner from work. Might manage to pop in for a few pints questions.

Trying on her new charlton shirt and admiring her 10 game season ticket no doubt
  • I will be there. Will walk from my office in Charing Cross.

just as those held in Eltham/South London etc exclude those who live in East Sussex, East London, North London by virtue of travel costs and time etc. In my opinion it's good to hold them in other venue's to give others a chance to attend. I'll be there btw.

no its Addicks in the City the next generation...

    ;)
  • The Trust do seem to be critisised for every venue and time they chose, to close to the ground / too far away. Not a match day, makes it awkward, is a match day, prefer a drink elsewhere before the game etc.

City seems a good choice to me, everone can get there viapublic transport (within reason), lots work there already. I will be along, can't open link at work - do I need a ticket?

    Ta

  • Oh joy, that's three meetings on the same night now. Local Health campaign has to come first, shame as I'd have quite enjoyed a day in London followed by a few drinkies. Hope it goes well.
  • What's all this walking lark
  • CACT concert that night too otherwise we'd have had a certain Mr White helping out..

Would we need to bring proof of membership, like the share certificate? Or will you have lists to check?
  • we have lists
  • Rain forecast for next thursday
  • Brolley (and bowler?)

Tired and emotional Danny, tired and emotional! That was a long, long time ago when the only fan I knew outside of friends and family was Henry Irving!
Life moves on we get promoted and we form a supporters Trust.... did I ever get a chance to tell you about the Trust? Lol
  • I recall or rather dont recall getting a cab back from city addicks with Bren and Mr White.... Think it was with Peter Varney
  • Raz - Will there be copies of the new Trust News available at the meeting ? I gather it is £2 cheaper than VOTV
