  • us to win 2-1 just about hanging on
  • Thuram
    Wilson morro wood nego
    Reza cousins jackson adjarevic
    Church Sordell

2-1 win, Polish Pete off the bench in gale force winds to grab the winner
  • Thuram
    Wilson - Morrison - Wood - Lennon
    Cousins - Poyet - Jackson - Ajdarevic
    Sordell - Reza

With a Diamond Midfield with Poyet in the hole... Ajdarevic behind the Strikers (So basically Wilson the only change from Wigan)
  • Bollox bolder yeah I know f all about football that's right good arguement mate not! He is shocking name something he has done this season? Take the two goals against Brighton where both goals feel kindly to him! Oh yeah his pace down the wing or his expert crosses

Jeez... So because two shots fell kindly to Wilson against Brighton he's shit...??? I noticed that he managed to finish them quite well as still had to get them past the Goalkeeper - I'll drop him a tweet tomorrow and say he's only allowed to score the impossible type of goal to keep certain fans happy.

    (1) Our first choice Right-Back is injured
    (2) On the odd occasion he has got to play with Chris Solly behind him this season they've struck up a great partnership because
    (3) Wilson is a Right-Midfielder not a Right-Back so is playing out of position, in fact when have someone versatile like him it shows that the player cant be shit because they've the ability to play out of position, and before you say "He evidently cant play out of position cos he's shit" have you seen Danny Green or Bradley Pritchard filling in at RB this season???
  • A steak frites dinner and Belgian beer tomorrow night to celebrate a tense but encouraging 3 1 win - Reza scores his first for us....
  • I'm strangely confident, 3-1 home win.
  • I would like Reza to start up front, which is his natural position
  • Foreveraddickted Duno y ur attacking me. I said footballs a game of different opinions: he is crap always out of position and doesn't get to the by line just passes it backwards. Name someone worse than Wilson then? Apart from Marvin

He clearly isn't crap, and you just repeating it time after time is not going to make it a fact. I don't understand supporters who enjoy slagging off our players. Just get on with supporting the team? I predict a 1-1 draw tomorrow.

  • Anybody who went to Wigan last week will know that Lennon (his time will come), Astrit and Sordell must be dropped - all liabilities and we will be a much better side with Solly/Evina,Wilson and PP in the team- and Cousins playing in middle.
  • Birmingham's away record is not bad and I think due to injuries we may not have a good balanced side. We so need a win to avoid being cut adrift but I worry again that we will struggle for goals. 3-1 to Brum.

Not attacking you Sam... Just trying to give my views and some examples why I dont think Lawrie Wilson is a crap player (thats what is called a debate)

In terms of worse players at the moment?... Would have to say Mark Gower, in terms of confidence I'd say Bradley Pritchard and Cedric Evina

as Red_Pete says as fans its our job to support the Team so regardless of who Chris puts on to the pitch (including the four players mentioned) this Saturday we should get behind all 18 players that start and the ones on the substitutes bench cos if we start getting on their backs then Birmingham's job becomes that lil bit easier
  • Red Pete in Dubai clearly the tv coverage out there of Wharton and particularly Wilson isn't very good! Right back or right mid he doesn't do either very well. He is always out of position and has no threat whatsoever ever Yeah agreed we should get behind the lads. Personally I'd have played morro right back and drafted another centre half in

See the thinking behind playing Morro at Right-Back but a couple of reasons why I wouldnt (promise as well Im not trying to argue each and every post of yours lol!)

    (1) I'll never forget Stevenage away when he didnt look great there
    (2) I think when he was with Sheff Wed thats where he mainly played and hence why they got rid of him
    (3) It doesnt give us much of an attacking threat down that side as comments post-Wigan said Morro didnt know what to do with the ball much
    (4) Yes you could play him there and have Dervite / Wood in the middle but if one of them gets injured and another of three sent off then we become very light in the CB position (Gomez or Feely would have to go on to the bench) and if Jacko then got injured who would be our Captain as there isnt much more experience in that side other than Wood / Dervite and Wilson

Playing Devils advocate to those four points though if Solly isnt ready for QPR (and would be shocked if he was) then having Morro - Dervite - Wood - Wiggins in Defence might be a good idea if we went for the sit back approach against them, would certainly help shut them out more
  • Honestly sordell is the worst player (apart from Lawrie Wilson) in our current squad

you clearly haven't seen Evina recently

  • If Polish fella has impressed in training this week then he will start. No time for sentiment from CP, play what you think is your strongest starting 11. I understand Sordell scored last week but from the sounds of it he was disappointing again overall.

Reza and Pete upfront...and please play Cousins CM!!!!!! Doesn't matter if it's him and Poyet in there together, they are fit, hungry, hard working and have plenty of quality.
  • Oh yeah, 2-0 Charlton, Reza FGS.

I've seen him play many times actually, plus you only have to look at the latest Statbank. He is currently rated our 4th best player this season amongst those who have played more than 15 games.
  • Which says how bad we r red Pete in Dubai lol. I can't help thinking cousins will be the next to go if we get an offer though I think we are grounded to the fact we r going to be a selling club for a bit.

  • We've got Koc, might as well play him.
  • After kermo and Stephens left Jackson is now our top scorer this season with 3. Hope our promising new strikers have got their shooting boots on!
  • After 5 away games on the trot, we really do need to produce something special today at home. Will the new players be capable of adapting to our pudding of a pitch? Who knows. Will the new strikers be able to solve our chronic lack of goals? Only if they receive a decent service. Who will step up & provide the chances that our new strikers need? This is where I think we will continue to struggle. Hence my prediction of a 1-1 draw.
  • I'm going to be optimistic and say 2-1 Charlton with goals from Reza and PP.

Forecast on the Met Office official site now much better. Dry up to kick off and now only a 40pc chance of light showers at 3.

Green, Evina, Pritchard, Cook, Gower, Hollands, Hughes and Harriott. All inconsistent, having a poor season or barely played as there are better players ahead of them. In Hollands case he's gone out on loan as he's not seen as good enough.

Wilson's our best RM and good cover for Solly. I was hoping we'd sign a Championship standard winger but unless we do I'm happy with Wilson at RM or RB over our other options.
  • With the lack of chances being created we need to start either Harriott or Green.
  • I'd like to see us just go for it from the off ang hit them with a couple of goals before half-time. Brum are on a slide and we need to win today and get rid of the negative play and look to boost morale around the club asap.

Unfortunately Thuram is the only available keeper so he has to start:

    Thuram

    Wilson Morrison Wood Lennon

    Poyet

    Green Cousins Harriott

    Reza Polish Pete
  • I live in westcombe park, it is chucking it down. I'm not on twitter, but I read that the club are keeping the dome on as long as possible on Saturday. Any news on whether or not it's going ahead?
