Trains on Saturday

Just seen on National Rail Website that there is disruption on trains from Sittingbourne for Saturday. Bus service to Rainham then train to Victoria,underground to Cannon Street then train to Charlton.Dont know how this will affect other train users, ie from Kent Coast.

    Additional Information:
    There are no train services calling at (in alphabetical order): Abbey Wood, Belvedere, Erith or Slade Green. However, there are replacement bus services calling at these stations, operating in each direction between Plumstead and Dartford.
    Also, there is a reduction in the frequency of train services calling at Albany Park, Bexley Crayford and New Cross, Furthermore, London Charing Cross/Gillingham services will be diverted between Blackheath and Dartford, calling additionally at Eltham and will not call at Charlton, Woolwich Arsenal or Abbey Wood. As a result, there are no train services operating between Blackheath and Charlton.

    Passengers who wish to make this particular journey can do so via Lewisham and Greenwich on Docklands Light Railway (DLR). Valid train tickets will be accepted for travel on the DLR in either direction between Lewisham and Greenwich.

  • further than sittingbourne mate, im on rail replacments on my bus from faversham on saturday 6am til 3pm!! another company is doing the rest of the line as far as ramsgate i think. so expect to some addicks getting on at somepoint im the 6 foot 2 fat elvis with glasses if you want to say hello.

    In that case I think I'll be driving up from Whitstable. Where are you travelling from?
  • Live in Sittingbourne,so the drive is not too bad about 40minutes. Used to drive all the time but with a senior rail card only costs £11.20 so not worth the agro of driving.
