Personally I would love to bump into Riviera one day

Well you can one day soon hopefully as can everyone else if they want, I'll keep you posted.

I am honestly nothing like I come across on here, apart from the humour. Most people would be very disappointed in me as I am very friendly in real life and I don't know much about Charlton.
Blimey, even Henry Irving is a nice bloke in real life!

I have met Henry when picking up a poster
Presumably you met the poster you were picking up too

    :-)

I avoided that, I asked him to post my items :-)

I've not knowingly met anyone from on here, but I revealed my CL identity the other day to a ST holding mate round the Golf Club who reads but never posts and he was surprised that I was me (sounds like a schizophrenics tea party!)

PS. I'm pretty sure I live just round the corner from Fanny from some of the clues she's given.

Are you saying, you're a bit of a bum?

I bought Steve Brown's away shirt from the Dagenham & Redbridge replay, but don't know which one of you I collected it from as it was via the old email list I think, rather than this forum. Just remember it was a long drive.
  • Disappointed to be so far down on your list, @shag - I thought our meeting was more memorable than that ;-)

Oh it was , the list is just in order of most current 'meeting' .

If it was for most memorable , you'd be 2nd .
  • Personally only know 1 (DA1), may well know a few more but don't realise it, obviously know who Airman Brown is, but doubt he knows me.

The stock punchline for telling someone they're second out of a group is:

All the others came equal 1st!
  • I've met @Stewart and he's a thoroughly decent chap who wasn't shy getting the beers in. I am in no way only saying that cos he's in possession of my Wednesday ticket.

I used to live down her road, and she may come across as nice and serene on here, but it was ASBO City.
All night parties, cars up on blocks in the front garden, and pretty sure some Millwall fans used to gather around there too.

    Haha! Cheers BFF
  • I've not been on this forum long enough to know anyone as a Lifer, yet, and to be fair am only in my second year of holding a Season Ticket.
Those CAFC supporters I've met seem a decent enough bunch.
Hoping to get along to either an Eltham Addicks or Bromley Addicks meeting and to enjoy the company there.

See you on the 20th Iain, usually 100+ Addicks and 30 or so lifers there so a one in three chance of meeting one of the nice people from here.
  • Could we have a lifers meet at Sheffield?

I'm 2nd on your list, should I remember it?!
  • Someone gave me a funny handshake the other day. I did wonder if it was one of the clique.

I don't know hardly any lifers but every now and then at away games I have a look round and think, he's a lifer, and him, him yeah definitely a lifer.

Perhaps we should have a Lifers badge.

I've been lucky (??) And got to meet hundreds through CL and always wonder how different it must be for those who have no knowledge of who the people are who are posting.

For the regular posters, have you formed pictures in your head and have posted with them so much that you feel like you know them ?

There are a few posters on here I feel like I've 'known' for a long time, and feel like I know them fairly well, though have never met

Yes I do too but, I must admit I've been in the lib club and seen a few of you just never had the guts to say hello.

**edit that was a couple of years ago now I would.

I do look around in the Covered End where I sit and wonder if anyone there is a lifer
  • Perhaps we should have a Lifers badge.

Strange, mine finally came through in the post a few weeks ago...

I don't know any of you, and none of you know me. That either makes me mysterious or just very sad and lonely

No, we simply just don't trust you because of your user name
