Considering the run of home games we have in the next few weeks and the pitch needing all the recovery time possible between those games, it surely has to be moved to Arsenal

Here's the competition rule about venue, for information.
9. VENUE FOR MATCHES (a) Venue (i) The venue of each match will be that of the first drawn Club unless the consent of the Council has been obtained to any change of venue up to and including the Fifth Round Proper. (ii) No monetary or other consideration shall be asked for, offered or paid in connection with negotiations for a change of venue. (iii) A match shall not be played on a neutral ground without the consent of the Council. (iv) In any event, the Council shall have the power to order that any match be played on an alternative ground or date, if it is considered appropriate and necessary. For ties switched from the ground of the Club first drawn, the Council shall determine the financial conditions in which the tie shall be played. (b) Protests Regarding the Suitability of Ground (i) A Club may protest to the Council that the ground of the Home Club is unsuitable for the match. Such protest must be made to the Council within four days of the date of the draw and must be accompanied by a fee of £250, which may be forfeited if the protest is not sustained. (ii) The Council shall have the power to consider the protest in such manner and following such procedures as it considers appropriate. The Council may amongst other things order the match to be played on the ground of the protesting Club, or on a neutral ground. The payment of the costs incurred by either Club and The Association incidental to the protest shall be at the discretion of the Council.
I think we need to bear in mind that this is likely to be the biggest match that some of the U18s will ever play and the biggest match that most if not all of them have played in to date. It's not an easy one for the club, but giving the boys good experience is a selling point for the academy. I am not sure playing this game at a non-League ground is appropriate. It may be better to reverse it, if the FA will allow that.
If we play this at arsenal, would love to see 300-500 away fans there , and some vocal support for the lads, they deserve it the academy has been excellent through very tough few years at the club
If only we could think of somewhere that had a large capacity - say 30,000 - so that the U-18s could experience playing at a big ground. Somewhere that the first team are not going to need for around a couple of weeks. And preferably somewhere where the home team usually plays in red, so the colours of the stadium look like Charlton colours. Also somewhere that it's pretty easy to reach by train from London/Kent.
Can't understand the clamour to have it at The Emirates. Surely that is to Arsenal's advantage?
Personally hoping for Welling, so I can combine it with a visit to The Door Hinge, London's first micropub - if you can call Welling London (which I don't)

.... and somewhere the players may find themselves playing in the future ....
.. no doubt :-)
I meant it as a joke really. But, in fact, it kinda makes a bit of sense, doesn't it? It can't be *that* expensive. Although there may be some FA rules against it. And Arsenal might object. (Although I suspect their players would want to play there too).
Its a shame if it is moved from the Valley but Arsenal normally play these sorts of games at Borehamwood , they used to play at Barnet's old ground. So what is the difference if we played it at Welling?

That's what I heard.
