I really think Evina has had enough chances now and would like to see Fox play because he is an orthodox left back as opposed to a left footed centre back.He has had 7 games on loan to Notts County so has been blooded in league football.
No Evina didn't go in the end but still could now the loan window is open. Think he needs to go and play some football elsewhere. Lennon has done well so far and would stick with him against Burn.
However, I believe that Loic Nego can also play left back and he will switch over there on Saturday with Lawrie Wilson back in at right back.
Good point, Paddy.
But perhaps we'd benefit more with Nego keeping RB and Wilson driving forward at RM, yet giving Nego solid cover?
And play Fox at LB.
Okay, we're taking a risk with 2 inexperienced players at full back - but then we did that for 85 mins away at Wigan on Saturday.
I agree Oggy ,I know from his TV appearance the other week that SCP sees some benefit in inverted wingers ( right footed on the left and vice versa ) on occasions ,but he also said that it was different for full backs.Given that Nego is inexperienced himself I think this would be a mistake because it would compromise our potency going forward on the left.
The other 'experienced' options Hughes and Jacko (remember his original loan spell as a locum left back) wouldn't now have the legs to play at this level at left back,so it has to be Fox for me.
Still think Evina the better option but only if he can rediscover the form he showed last season when he was finally given the chance at LB and looked good
It seems to me that Evina's confidence is shot to shreds,
If he played - with his first mistake, he'll get dogs abuse from the non-thinking element of our supporters and fall to pieces.
I wouldn't risk him.
The crowd are more likely to be more tolerant of another youngster making his debut.
Personally, I feel CP will see the Brum match as 'a must not lose' and especially as there are so many new players, will try to play experienced pros in defence. And he'll also see that young Lennon has aquitted himself well.
Whether that means we see 4 CBs across the back line - I bloody well hope not. Players should play in their own specialist positions - it's where they're best.

I would have though he'd consider it a must win match! Draws here and there won't keep us up, and Brum are potentially a relegation rival.
I agree with you too, Killer!
We need points on the board right now.
Brum can easily enough get drawn back into the struggle. They are only 5 or 6 points clear of us and a Charlton win on Saturday puts us in reach of them.
We need to adopt the same attitude that Donny did, when they played us.
I've never seen Fox so can't comment on his capabilities.. Lennon has done more than OK in the three games I have seen him .. twice as an early substitute .. I would play him .. I get the idea that Morrison, the 'defence captain' has faith in him .. also, Powell has had the option of playing/squad selecting Fox at Huddersfield, Doncaster & Wigan, he has gone for Lennon all three times
We have two good left backs in the academy, Archie Edwards and Tareiq Holmes- Dennis. Although he has been playing in midfield. Kadell Daniel can also play left back but his preferred position is in midfield.

Those moves were denied by Forest Green, although they did finally complete the signing of Oliver (a free agent) today.
Morgan Fox hasn't gone there. Maybe he will when the loan window opens, but it hasn't happened yet.
If that does happen then regrettably I think that is the last we will have seen of Morgan Fox. As Dick posts above we have an embarrassment of riches with young left backs coming through and after not getting on the bench for the Donny game it indicated to me that he might be on his way soon.
So maybe the question we should ask is Kadel Daniel ready yet?

If so, it's now or never for him.
Last season he was an integral part of our Champions U-21 squad, which would have instilled in him confidence and a winning mentality.
This season he's played for Wales U-21 several times, played every match on loan to Notts County and scoring his 1st professional goal.
He's a specialist left back.
Play him and see if he's good enough.
It's the only way to find out.

No doubt CP will see Lennon's height and strength as a replacement for Kermo at set pieces, as well as his adaptability at full back.

The club kept that one quiet!
Left back is one position he knows his stuff!

Youth is the way forward, doncha know?

Why would we let her go in the summer?
