From reading posts on here let's all jump out of our Windows, or we could step back and consider this.....
Goalkeeper Alnwick was released by Barnsley in the summer and then signed for a league 1 team and has never lived up to potential and only played a few games. Time will prove that this isn't a loss Pope out on loan Thurman was apparently close to the French national last year. Most people haven't seen him but yet dismiss his ability Judgment - stronger now than in December
Defence The French guy is cover for solly which allows Wilson to push forward Lennon has made his debut Judgment - on the basis that Evina is still here we are stronger than December
Midfield Stephens had a solid season but when did he dominate games for 90 mins. Plus he wanted out and was not going to sign in the summer Swedish guy - have we seen enough of him to judge? He sounds like a replacement for Stephens so let's wait and see Koc is here to train with the under 21s but is the same age as hariott was when he broke into the team so enchant he Poyet has made his debut since December Judgement - 50/50 on this
Attack Yann is a big loss but he had only scored 4 league goals from open play with church scoring 3 and sordell 1 Iranian Dave and polish Pete strengthen the squad but are not yann. Great signings though and once the yann mourning period is over we will realise that these two are a better pairing than yann and church (would have loved them to partner yann) Judgement - the squad is stronger
My view is that we sign a non RD midfielder on loan
We are in the bottom 3 and needed a change. So what that we have never heard of most of them, neither have the Wigan defence!!! How many of Powell's 20 odd league 1 signings had you heard of? I'm confident that powell can get these players to gel and get the results that will keep us up
You're assuming these untested players are better than what we already had. On paper they may seem great, but we have no idea. If you think a midfield with Koc (young, inexperienced, never played in England) and Poyet (young, inexperienced) is good enough to keep us up, then I admire your optimism
Grrr i posted but got closed, was nice to have a positive thread seperate IMO
If we sign a CM on loan and give 3-4 games and then assess how it is, we really dont know enough about the players but neither did Watford with all their loans, slightly different but just see what happens in Powell we trust
Think everybody has lost the plot, where are we at the moment, bottom 3 because we are not a good team, thats with all these so good players that have left, Dale Stephens was often dropped from the team by CP for no good reason, Yan has not been that great. Why not think great new players might get us out of this mess, to be honest CP has not been doing that great picks the team out of a hat, picks Pritchard ( a joke in this division) as much as I love CP we are in bottom 3 and no win for 10 games in the league a lot of managers would be sacked anyway for that record, lost at home to Millwall, yes we have had the odd good result but overall rubbish. CP put new young winger in u21 but surely he cant be worse than Harriott did you see his performance at Oxford. Now get behind the new players we need changes, come on you reds
Sorry Johnny, but we're in danger of having a proliferation of similar threads where people then start posting the same points in umpteen different places. Just trying to make it easier by cutting down on duplication.

Ones an international going to World Cup Ones been banging em in in same level in holland wanted by be ficus previously Everyone was banging on about keeper being voted number 1 in ligue 1 Swedish u21 international deemed good enough for Liverpool to look at Koc is not here for 1st team as Powell stated And nego prob weakest signing of the lot .
We are bottom 3 with Stephens and Yann playing week in week out let's not hold them up as the messiahs. We might be surprised

I talking squad and never said koc and poyet will or should play but let's look at facts
1. If we were not taken over the board still would have cashed in and sold yann and Stephens 2. The squad would nit have been strengthened, even with loans 3. The possibility of administration was strong 4. We are in the bottom 3 5. We are the divisions bottom scorers 6. We signed two players with good goal scoring records 7. We have money in the bank for loan signings 8. The squad is now larger
Ok, I don't know if the newbies are any good but they can't do any worse. So are we worse off than on the first of Jan? My view is f%%k no
The line up wasn't and didn't work for the first part of the season, it has been changed and now includes untested players. Whatever happens and no matter how good or bad they seem, we need to get behind them. I for one am quite excited as we simply do not know what we have.
Weaker, lost Stewart, Yann,Dale and Alnwick. Replaced them with complete unknowns. I get the argument we are in the bottom three, but to get out of it you don't sell your best players.
This Reza signing has been on the cards all month. Polish Pete has potential, and the right back has played 20 games in 5 years. If Millwall or Palace had signed these players we'd be pissing ourselves with laughter. Normally I'm optimistic and positive but right now I'm completely disillusioned with my club. For me the only positive is CP is still here, but fear a heavy defeat today and he'll be gone.

Agree with a lot of this but I don't think kocs for the under 21s . He's travelled to Wigan with the team and he will probably be involved as we havnt got many wingers who knows he might be what we need. I think we're in a stronger position than the beginning of jan but every has got there own opinion.
Personally, I feel worse off. I often wondered how it would feel if the club became some rich man's plaything (think Watford here). Now I know and at the moment I don't like it. Suddenly it doesn't feel like "my" club - hopefully I will get over it.

The team lacked goals before and maybe they can supply them - it is amazing how much better good strikers will make a midfield look.

This is a debate to be had after 4-5 games imo

Thuram
Sordell
