It's quite difficult to decide what your favourite Charlton XI is, because, for most people, the choice is so vast. Every player we ever saw was, in fact, either much better, or much worse than we remember. I mean, surely Derek Hales, Colin Powell and Richard Rufus can't have been consistently as brilliant as I remember them. And Peter Shaw must have had a good game from time to time. Surely? But the thing is, each of these players is indelibly recorded onto my memory. I have seen them, therefore I know (even though my memory is totally fallible) how great they all were.
But what about the players I didn't see? There are several players I never got the chance to see. Enough, in fact to fill a team several times over. So, here's my Charlton XI of players I never got to see play for Charlton, but would have loved to. What's yours..?

Tough battling central striker, good in the air and a rocket of a shot if he caught it right.
Proper number 9.
Terrific in combination with Matt Tees.
Goals, goals, goals!
Only other player I wish I saw play was Mark Hudson. Saw him standing on the edge of the box looking confused on a number of occasions
