cheers .. and twitter, like statistics never lies !! .. having said that, Tuesday of course is a major major game for us
Evidently the players/staff are staying in Yorkshire until after the Doncaster game .. this is sensible, it keeps the morale buzzing after today's terrific win and saves unnecessary toing and froing along the Motorway network. I am REALLY looking forward to Tuesday, it will be a serious test of our mettle, mood and resolve ... COME ON YOU ADDICKS !!!!!!
On Twitter they have been spotted at Yates in Barnsley. Boys on tour oi oi!

Good for them.
They got the result. Deserve some fun.
But why Baaaaaarrrnsleh ..... ?
The Huddersfield Examiner and Jim Davidson both retweeted it...it must be true
Having read quickly through all the posts, I have to admit defeat tonight...Weegie & altrinchamaddick have said it all.
Pretty poor first half from us and chances missed by the home team but 0-0 at halftime was good enough for me. Second half we were different gravy. Why do we even bother with the first 45mins of a game ? A great assist by Lawrie was finished to perfection by the Duracell Bunny that is Churchy. Good to see him gain some reward for all his selfless running. Some excellent saves from Ben A, good substitutions by the gaffer and our players not retreating TOO far back to defend our lead and what have you got ? A Cup run !!!!!!! And a well deserved victory at the 3rd time of asking in sunny Huddersfield ( we experienced Springlike conditions in the first half followed by swirling rain around halftime) for players & the faithful alike.
A couple of further observations mirror those of others already posted. I'm afraid that young Callum is a huge disappointment for me of late - a player that promised so much when given the opportunity last season has seemingly not progressed & is beginning to frustrate both our fans, and I suspect the management team. On more than one occasion, during a pause in play for an injury ( of which there were several) he was called to the touchline where Damian Matthew, Alex Dyer AND the gaffer could be seen to be pointing out a few things to him. Ceddy too failed to impress which is a shame - he's had to wait for the chance to show his potential but, like Marvin, I'm afraid, has not stepped up to the plate. Sadly, for a team at the bottom of the Championship or, as today, in a Cup game which could be a stepping stone to a decent run ( and the allied much needed cash ) everyone has to hit the ground running. The positive though was the debut of another Academy product, Harry Lennon who certainly did not look overawed by the occasion and bedded in well at the back. But my MOM was our 'keeper who made some superb saves & definitely kept us in the game.
So, a memorable day on the pitch, whilst the exclusion of The Beast from the matchday squad inevitably was manna to the conspiracy theorists amongst us. Fingers crossed that he was rested and will make his reappearance on Tuesday evening. Our journies both to & from the game were congestion free ( apart from one travelling companion with a chesty cough !) but a slamming on of brakes on the M11 certainly awoke those catching up on some zzzs and a stationary car in the road as we approached the Blackwall Tunnel caused a further momentary panic. But all's well that ends well . At least the end of the day was an improvement on the start...
Alarm set for 6.45am to allow ample time for the application of several layers of Polyfilla & a can full of hairspray before the off from Charlton at 9am. What is it they say about the best laid plans of mice & women ? A leap from bed to put Jennifer Ennis in the shade at 7.45, with chauffeur Don due to arrive within 30 mins was not the start I had planned.... Guinness Book of Records, be prepared for a new entry. And a medal for Mr F who not only rustled up my brekkie & my matchday sarnies but also drove us to the pick up point to give me an extra 15mins makeover time. And finally, thanks to my fellow travellers who turned a blind eye to my ill matching earrings which I just discovered I'd been wearing all day.
" That Fanny's a queer old bird ...the left one was danglier than the right !"
Dale getting ALOT of satick from Huddersfield fans for his tackle! Some calling him 'sub-human scum' and hoping someone breaks his legs. Was it really that bad??

Look at the picture in the match thread it looks horrendous
Oh look we won and there's no moaning about the ref Atwell shock/ horror I thought the world/all refs were against us or could it be we had the rub of the green today
So pleased i made the trip yesterday ! Agree with the comments on Evina, he, like Pritchard (i know he didn't play) need to either go out on loan or be sold. Both, including the Oxford game, looked disinterested and out of their depth, which is a shame as I thought they both looked Charlton type players. Anyway thats enough on them. Alnwick made some very good saves and kept us in the match. Morro looked slightly off his game, occasionally allowing Hudds too much time and being out of position. Dervite did ok. Midfield were solid, AA debut wasn't as inspiring as I would have liked but overall did ok. Stevens looked bang up for it, didnt see the challenge but from the reaction of the Hudds players, they obvisously weren't amused. Callum Harriott shouldnt start another game for us until he has recovered some confidence, I feel for Green as what he lacks in talent he more than makes up in effort and endeavour. When he came on he closed them down and changed the freedom the Hudds wingers were previously enjoying. JJ was solid and had a calming influence on the game. Sordell did nothing wrong but just looks as though he couldnt buy a good game for us. Pre match, I referred to Church as a less effective Gary Nelson. I am so pleased he got the goal, his effort in the last two games deserved the plaudits he got from the Charlton support who made the trip. Finally I got a mention from JJ on Twitter about my chant for Harry Lennon, 'he's better than John, he's better than John, Harry Lennon, he's better than John !' Topped off a very enjoyable day !!
Happy to be through, and now a home draw? Any other season I'd want us at the Valley, but since we lost all the grass, not sure if that's for the best. What the hell, Fulham or Arsenal at home.
There was a minor negative from the win after Cedric Evina was forced off after 35 minutes and was replaced by Harry Lennon and Powell was delighted with how the youngster acquitted himself.
“He had a dead leg after an eventful first 20 minutes,” he said.
“I had to bring the young lad on in the end. I thought he acquitted himself really well. Hopefully people like Ceddy will be available on Tuesday.”
Seems that Powell is hoping to have Evina back for the Doncaster game in spite of the poor reviews! Boy, Powell seem not to have seen the same match???

Great summary Fanny. Couldn't disagree with any of the match stuff.
Astrid seems a bit too much like Jacko to play the two together. It remains to be seen if he has Jackos goals in him. I liked his enthusiasm and willingness to come to the fans at the end. Didn't notice Callum at the end though and as someone else said CP was oddly muted.

The alternative being what - signing Ashley Cole?
What's wrong with giving Lennon an extended run in the side seeing the positive feedback from those at the game?! He's one of our ow, for god's sake!
