If Yann played and got an injury from a physical side like Hudds, and missed a few games, People would slate CP...

But I think (and I agree) as RedMidland has said... At least Powell has hopefully confirmed he picks the squad with Alnwick being ahead of Thuram whilst I'd have preferred Poyet on the bench over Cousins
Sordell has been lacking match time because of injury so gives him an opportunity to have a run out (A goal today could give him confidence which will be huge going into the next selection of matches)...
As well Ajdarevic also gets some game time which is much needed and can be the defensive player spraying balls around whilst Jacko / Stephens and Harriott get forward
When you look into the squad Powell has chosen today rather than looking AT the squad he's chosen I reckon he's picked well!!

I agree... Much prefer Wood over Dervite but being a cup competition I guess Powell's hand is forced sometimes else the fringe players will have enough and bugger off to other clubsMattTeesHeader said:

not sure what to think of the team - sometimes its best to play your best team, win the game as wins breed confidence.
