Alnwick - 7. One save. Caught everthing and no mistakes.

Wilson - 7. Wish he'd get forward more. Not troubled. Reads the game well.

Morrison - 7. Lacking in confidence, though solid enough he looked nervous at times.

Devite - 6. Hurried into some poor clearances - cant deliver out of the back like Wood.

Evina - 6. Looked short of match fitness. Again, some hurried clearances.

Green - 6. Lost the ball a lot and some poor passing. Looked better when he switched to the left. Lucky to not have got booked.

Stephens - 8. MOM. Played the holding role and looked really comfortable after the first 20 mins.

Jackson - 7. Big improvement on recent performances. Broke up play well and harried their midfield a lot.

Harriott - 7. Lots of trickery, but with little end product. Again seemed to improve when switched to the 'wrong' side.

Kermorgant - 8. Gets the extra mark for the freekick. Didn't seem to be his usual 100% commited self today.

Church - 7. Played like Church. 110% huff and puff with little end product. Very unselfish to pass to Green for No.2

  • Alnwick 7 solid and a calming influence and did the basics well
    Wilson 6.5 steady
Morrison 7 solid centre half defending
Devite 6 ok some poor distribution not as reassuring as Wood
Evina 6.5 settled down after shaky start and grew into the game
Green 7 ok at this level and despite no pace was up with play for his tap in
Stephens 7.5 was up for it and ran the show in midfield with JJ
Jackson 7 his class was evident tonight surprised he lasted the full game
Harriott 6 did some good stuff and then ruined it with a sloppy pass
Kermorgant 8 put us in front when we were struggling to get a foothold and scored a trademark Yann free kick from 25 yards
Church 7 burst into life after an innocuous start to set up 1st & 2nd goals
  • Alnwick 7 had nothing to do, claimed crosses well
Wilson 7 did the job, hardly crossed the half way line unfortunately
Morrison 7 solid, won headers, done the job
Devite 7 sturdy, never really in danger
Evina 7 failed to really link with harriott but was fine defensively
Green 7 glad to see him get a goal, seemed frustrated with lack of the ball when in a lot of space
Stephens MOTM 8 did well, im his biggest critic but kept the ball well and bossed the midfield in the second half
Jackson 8 really did well, did a lot of work that he wont get recognised for
Harriott 7 did well on the ball, a few sloppy passes
Kermorgant 8 two nice finishes, think he went with the attitude that he was too big for Oxford and didnt seem 100% committed
Church 8 did well, a lot of running and got 2 very good assists

    Harriott 5
    Kermorgant 7.5
    Church 6.5
  • Hamer - 6 Very little to do, but what he did, he did well. Sometimes put in unneccesary pressure with some sloppy back passes. Held the one shot on target well.

Wilson - 7 Never looked under pressure. Solid.

Morrison - 7 Handled the limited Oxford strikers well. Seemed more confident, and brought the ball out of defence more than normal.

Dervite - 6 See Wilson comments above.

Evina - 5.5 The least assured of the back 4. Did not play badly, but was less assured. His pace got himself out of trouble a few times.

Green - 7 The better of the wide men. His lack of pace was not noticeable against Oxford. A tap-in, laid on a plate for him Church. On top of that, a thunderous free kick, and just missed with a chance late on.

Stephens - 7 Was calm on the whole. A few times gave the ball away unnecessarily but kept the game ticking over.

Jackson - 7 MOTM. A captain's performance. Tackled back, won the ball, and hardly hit a loose pass all game. I am concerned by his fitness levels, though. Was treading water at the end.

Harriott - 4 I thought his distribution was dreadful. For a period in the 2nd half picked out a yellow shirt every time he had the ball. A talented boy, but needs to work on the basics.

Church - 6 Unselfishly handed Green a simple goal when in a 1 on 1 with the goalkeeper. The usual non stop performance, and 2 good assists.

Yann - 7 Looked disinterested for most of the game, but 2 cracking goals. Not much else to say.
  • Hamer - 6 Very little to do, but what he did, he did well. Sometimes put in unneccesary pressure with some sloppy back passes. Held the one shot on target well.

    You're right there : - )

    D'OH!
  • Bit harsh on Church giving him a six, when he sets two goals up and works hard.
  • Most saying Alnwick did everything asked of him and had no faults albeit in a relatively easy game. Best Mark he gets is a 7. What did you want him to do, - score a couple as well? I don't get marking the keeper down because he wasn't busy - is that a rule?

Alnwick 7 Looked very solid & safe. I have total confidence in him.
Wilson 7 Had a good game.
Morrison 6 Decent game, but looked a bit shaky early on. He always looks more shaky when playing with Dervite.
Devite 6 Decent, but poor distribution at times, as usual. I much prefer Wood.
Evina 4 Pretty abysmal. Passed the ball to Oxford more than Charlton. Stinker of a game.
Green 6 Decent game for him. He looks ok at this level.
    Stephens 7 Good game MOM
Jackson 7 Thought he had a good game
    Harriott 4 - See Evina's comments. Ditto.
    Kermorgant 7 Good game
Church 6 Decent & did set up 2 goals.
  • Sounds like Evina and Harriot were well below bar. We have very few options for the next game though.

Astrid will be eligible for FA Cup 4th round at Hudders.

And any one else we may bring in before the 4th round deadline midday Friday.
  • The lows marks from Evina suggest that he got a roasting...in which case you'd think the other defenders would get higher marks for still managing a clean sheet.

He didn't get a roasting. They had no one capable. He just kept passing to them & losing it, when moving forward.
  • Having reviewed the video evidence, can I change slightly. Scores generally low because (apart from the three goals) it was a piss poor game.
