  • Thuram - 5; conceded a poor goal. A couple of decent second half saves but his error was the pivotal moment in this game
Wilson - 6: he and the rest of the back four contained their attackers, notably their wide men, pretty well
    Wiggins -6

    Stephens-5
    Jackson-5
    Cook-4.5
Harriott-7: offered an outlet and looked dangerous at times
Kermorgant -6:laid the ball off pretty well but lacked support
Green - not much of an impact
    Church - ditto
    Adjarevic on/a

  • I wasn't at the game but going on the football league highlights I'm surprised at church's scores as he actually had the ball in the net (didn't look like a foul to me) and Almost scored from an acute angle
  • Thuram - 6 he was the busier of the two keepers and made a couple of excellent saves, a pity his mistake cost us a point
    Wilson - 6
Wiggins - 5.5 red may have been harsh but he was daft to go in the way he did
    Morrison - 6
    Wood - 6
    Cousins - 5
    Stephens - 5
    Jackson - 5
    Cook - 5
Harriott - 5.5 beat his full back a number of times but final delivery was poor
    Kermorgant - 6

    Green - 4 poor
Church - 5 added some urgency up front
  • surprised how low the scores are generally considering we lost by one flukey goal away to an in-form team

we didn't really give it a go against a team who were no great shakes even given their recent form. We did not look up for it and it was very typical of many of our below par performances this season. We were organised enough to not get out played but we did so little to trouble either their back four or beyond them Given. We lack belief on the field and in the stands but as everyone realises we need better quality as an attackung threat. Those that think it is just one or two that we need are misguided in my opinion. The majority or our players are sound defensively and well disciplined but we are threadbare on forward strategy. I fear we are in a very similar situation (albeit a league better off)as three seasons ago and need a complete overhaul if we are to be taken serioiusly in this division.

Interesting and varied marks for Thuram - how would those that were there compare him to Alnwick and Hamer in terms of shot stopping, distribution etc ?

a different style of shot stopping, also he is very quick to leave his line and use any part of his body to get the ball. As for distribution I don't remember him throwing the ball out and most of his kicks were long and flat to one of our players, he did kick directly into touch a couple of times. His one mistake was to misjudge the bounce of the ball, but he wasn't the only one to do that, unfortunately it resulted in a goal.

When you consider it was his first game in the the UK with an unknown team I'd say he did well and could be better than what we have.
