Dani Pacheco - formerly of Liverpool

Plays for Duchatenet's new club Alcorcon.
He was someone linked to us a few years ago
Prolific in youth and reserves and actually has a senior record of something like 26 in 41 senior appearances.
Off the shoulder type nippy striker. Feeding off Yann...., hubba hubba

Please Roland - can you do us a favour :-)

  • How tall is he?
  • 5'6" I think

Little and large combo with Kermy
  • Alcorcon would love him if he did that to them.
  • Alcorcon are in a relegation battle too!!
  • He's more of a support striker.
  • He looked really promising a few years ago, but didn't push on. Certainly got talent.

Agreed, but big jump up from youth football to mens football. Very skillful player.
  • I'm sure he's an "in the hole" type of striker?
  • He was brilliant on football manager. Banged in the goals for me!

    Precisely why I rate him.

  • total failure in English football before despite lots of promise. Total failure at Liverpool and also when at loan at Norwich I think, who I think were in the championship at the time. I would be despondent if I our chances of staying up rested with him. Hopefully we can do better
  • 2 in 6 for Norwich is not complete failure
  • Why would RD give him to us when Alcorcon quite clearly need to keep him?
  • We might be seen as more of a priority?
  • Why would RD give him to us when Alcorcon quite clearly need to keep him?

The Belgian journalist interviewed by Charlton Live stated that Charlton are the top of the tree for Duchatenet. Not Standard Liege. He will make tons more money from us in the Prem than he will with Standard Liege so it's in his interests to give us the tools to do that. Alcorcon probably didn't cost much and I am sure he has other players in his talent pool that could assist them. Similarly I would be surprised if they lose much.....certainly not as much as we would if we were relegated

Didn't Dudu just go there from Liege? He's a step up for them in terms of ability I would think

  • Maybe Alcorcon have joined the family because RD sees how important and how devastating (on opposition teams) Spanish Football can be so if Alcorcon can produce some great youngsters they can then also be loaned to the parent club (Us!!!)
  • Maybe a swap exchange?

Perhaps Bradley Pritchard fancies a couple on months in Spain to put the sunshine back into his game?

    ;o)
  • I did wonder whether we might loan to Albercon might be a good outlet for us to loan players to rather than the other way around.

Pacheco would be interesting but I can't see it.What would we say if lets say Wiggins was loaned to Standard Liege?

I should imagine Evina would be ecstatic.

    I thought about that too.

Alcorcon are in a similar position to us, struggling to avoid relegation to the 3rd tier in Spain. I'm sure Duchatelet will want to avoid that if at all possible and hence the loans of Andrés Guillermo Mendez and Dudu Biton from his Belgian Clubs.

These moves do prompt the question of whether we might send any players to Madrid; Smith or Pigott, for example. I don't know much about the standard in Segunda Division, but my conclusion was that we probably don't have anybody available who would be good enough.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Poyet disappear for a little while

Be great experience for him. An interesting question is who makes these calls. Who decides what Alcorcon need, where within the network such a player is available and whether that player will benefit, creating a win-win.
